It's amazing what all can fit into this camera bag

One 8" barrel takedown AR pistol and up to 438 rounds of 5.56 ammo in 14 mags. AR pistol has Cry Havoc takedown and a Law Tactical folding hinge for buffer tube. Stay away from the Dolos takedown device, it sucks. Muzzle device is not an A2 as depicted in the photos below, I'm using a muzzle device which is far better at directing the concussion forward, as a barrel this short is extremely loud. I also found room for my electronic hearing protection.

That is bad ass. What kind of takedown AR is that. Would love to get something like that, but doubt it would be CA legal. It might be, because it may be classified as a pistol.

It's definitely classified as a pistol...it has a SB Tactical pistol brace. Are you able to get a tax stamp for a short barreled rifle in Californicate?

It's a homebuilt gun with the following components:

8" Spikes Tactical CHF barrel with Superlative Arms adjustable gas block, a Troy Industries 7" Mlok rail, and Maxim Hate Brake mated to an Aero Percision upper via a Cry Havoc two pin takedown. A Brownells lightweight BCG and Geissele charging handle complete the upper. The lower is Aero Precision with the Law Tactical hinge attached to a PWS buffer tube with a SB Tactical arm brace. An Aimpoint T-2 tops it off. It fits perfectly into a Thule camera case along with 14 magazines in various pockets - I was pleasantly surprised to see how well the pockets hold Lancer mags with the Lancer +6 magazine extensions. The whole package weighs less than 24 lbs, I may lighten it up by taking out 2-3 magazines.
