The word "catholic" is a word that means universal.

It can be used as either a proper noun or an adjective.

As an adjective, the attributes of the Church that Jesus referred to as "My Church"
are that it is
one,
holy,
catholic, and
apostolic.

When one uses the term "Catholic Church" is a collective proper noun and a redundant phrase.

There is only one Church and it goes without saying that it is the Church that Jesus founded.
