First, Caesar was a hired gun. An agent. He REPORTED to the emperor. He acted on the AUTHORITY of the emperor. By and large none of the Caesars of the Roman empire made it to the rank of self-directed authority.

Second, Caesar was an OFFICE. It referred to the petty official holding that office. It was not the NAME of the office holder. It was his TITLE. He was the CEO of the Roman corporation.

BRUTUS didn't kill a guy named Caesar. He killed the guy currently holding that office. Someone later filled the office and they called him Caesar too.

Just some points I thought needed clearing up. Trump is the modern day equivalent of Caesar. Biden is a Caesar wannabe.

Caesar had more power than the Emperor.The Emperor was the Roman empire while the CEO drags in the loot.
