    rainwater catchment idea

I was looking for a solution to catch rainwater during emergencies, and came across this product:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's a 63" wide by 12" high, collapsible swimming pool. It can store and transport easily, and just kept stowed away. I plan on hooking up a hose to the drain plug and gravity feeding it to my water tanks, catching rainwater if needed.

This might be a handy prep with multiple uses. I'll probably leave a review on here once I get it delivered.

Garbage can w/ trash bags in a pinch.

Don't forget some sort of screening material.

I've seen other off-grid homesteader gardeners that have done similar. Buying used above-ground vinyl swimming pools on craigslist a cheap solution for a lot of rainwater storage.

Thanks Osoab, good idea. I'll look into that, and add screening material. For me I'm using this as an emergency "hope I don't need it, but glad I have it" kit, ready to go.

What I like about this small pool, is it can be packed away without taking much space. I plan on setting it up before a storm and seeing just how many gallons I can actually catch with it.
