    6 days ago Lowe’s had 1/2” OSB 4 x8 sheets for a mere 49.95.
That is up from 7.00 a year ago.

    Heard from another.

A builder in NC (on the east coast definitely) their supplier is getting quotes for 1/2 OSB @ 70 frns per sheet. That is supplier cost.

Isn't this why you stuck money into silver? To combat higher prices?

I have somewhere around 150 sheets of 1/2" plywood. Maybe it is time to sell some. I have around 2000 sq ft of tongue and grooved maple flooring. I wonder what it is worth.

At the current rate it will be cheaper to build houses out of Gold, since Gold is locked at $1700 in an inflationary environment.

    Commodity prices over last year...
    Lumber: +265%
    WTI Crude: +210%
    Gasoline: +182%
    Brent Crude +163%
    Heating Oil: +107%
    Corn: +84%
    Copper: +83%
    Soybeans: +72%
    Silver: +65%
    Sugar: +59%
    Cotton: +54%
    Platinum: +52%
    Natural Gas: +43%
    Palladium: +32%
    Wheat: +19%
    Coffee: +13%
    Gold: +3%

Never take financial advice from Boomers.
Gold hasn't kept up with inflation in over 10 years!!!

Just a tip from a Millennial: Put a picture of a Shiba Inu on your Gold coins, and MAYBE they will have value.

    Better inflation hedge than Gold.

None of those thing on the list are storable except precious metals. When I started buying on May 10, 2004 gold was $375 and silver $5.51 an ounce. They have gone up 500% since then, so not a total bad bet on something you can hold in your hand.

As Wood Prices Surge 400%, Hemp Homes Are Cheaper, More Efficient, and CO2 Negative

    June 2, 2021 renegade 0 Comments

Renegade Editor’s Note: The whole “reduce your carbon footprint” movement is a PsyOp, but that does not change the fact that hempcrete is awesome.

    By Matt Agorist

This time last year, the price of lumber was $300 per thousand board feet. In only a year, the price has shot up over 400% to $1,686 for the same amount. According to the National Association of Home Builders, the surge in lumber prices has added nearly $39,000 to the price of an average new single-family new build home and about $13,000 to a multi-family home.

^ me thinks they mean > 500%, yes?

    & re
"$39,000 to the price of an average new single-family new build home and about $13,000 to a multi-family home", aren't "multi-family" homes bigger than single-fam?
