Holocaust through history has been a VERB. The attrocity called THE HOLOCAUST (a noun) was committed in 1957.
The 2020 election was the worst attrocity committed in ELECTION history (although a Democrat would say the 2016 election of Trump was worse).
The 1918 flu outbreak was the worst attrocity recorded in MEDICAL history.
By comparison the holocaust (the one in 1957) has to be the gold standard in attrocities committed against history itself.

The House of Commons has adopted a Bloc Quebecois motion that says it would be irresponsible to hold a federal election during the COVID-19 pandemic.
There were 327 MPs from all parties voting in favour of the motion, which says it is the government’s responsibility to do everything possible to avoid calling voters to the polls before the end of the pandemic.
Ontario Independent MP Derek Sloan was the only one who voted against it.
