Southwest Airlines Massis Sickout Oct 9 and 10 2021

    Dachsie comment:

    1800 flights cancelled weekend of Oct.9 and 10, 2021 ?
The big corporations are just saying no to America and Americans. We the people need to sick out in every little way we can right now. This may be our last chance for peaceful protest.

Southwest Airlines is Having a Complete Meltdown as Hundreds of Flights Delayed or Canceled in Mass 'Sickout'
    4-6 minutes

Southwest Airlines has become the latest major U.S. airline to mandate that employees receive the Covid-19 vaccination or lose their jobs. The airline is immediately suffering the consequences due to a reported mass ‘sickout’ that is causing severe delays and hundreds of flight cancellations.

“The Dallas-based company said its workers must be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8 in order to remain at the airline. Employees can seek approval to skip the shots due to medical or religious reasons,” KDVR reported.

The major airline carrier is now suffering severe operational disruption due to widespread reports.

“Southwest Airlines is suffering an operational meltdown this weekend as hundreds upon hundreds of flights have been delayed or canceled outright,” the Points Guy reported. “The airline is blaming weather and an air traffic control issue from Friday for the domino effect of cancellations.”

“Thousands of passengers have been stranded at airports, been forced to wait in long lines, or spent hours on hold trying to rebook their flights,” the report continued.

“Flight tracking company Flight Aware is reporting 27% of Sunday’s flights have already been canceled as of around 8 a.m.,” the report added. “The airline had said that things might improve today, but so far it’s actually gotten a bit worse. According to Flight Aware, Saturday saw some 800 cancellations. Sunday morning it’s worse with more than 1,000 flights canceled.”

News Nation Now’s Leland Vittert is reporting that there is a mass “sickout” affecting Southwest’s service.

“Airline sources: mass ‘sickout’ @FAANews center in Jacksonville – caused ripple effect and 1000+ flight cancellations mostly effecting @SouthwestAir – report ‘sickout’” protesting #VaccineMandate,” Vittert reported.

Southwest Airlines, however, is providing cover for the operational distruption by claiming there were “ATC issues” and “disruptive weather.”

The airline then called for customers to use ‘self-service rebooking.’ There were massive flight disruptions across the country reported.

“Florida was among the places hardest hit,” the Points Guy reported. “Tampa International Airport Spokeswoman Emily Nipps told the Tampa Bay Times the FAA imposed an air traffic management program on Friday night that grounded many Southwest planes. That led to a domino effect. Eleven out of 15 scheduled flights to Tampa Saturday night were canceled.”

“It was a similar story Saturday night in the San Francisco Bay Area where local news reported 11 flights to Oakland and 11 more to San Jose International were canceled,” the report continued.

“There were, indeed, major problems at Air Traffic Control in Jacksonville, Florida on Friday night,” the report added. “A staff shortage along with some storms led to many canceled or delayed flights.”

“Due to a combination of severe weather, active military training in the airspace, and unexpected limited staff at the Jacksonville facility that handles high-altitude, en route traffic, the FAA took steps to safely manage air traffic the evening of Oct. 8. Normal operations returned at approximately 10 p.m.,” the FAA claimed.

The Southwest Airlines Pilots Association is suing over new federal vaccine rules, Bloomberg noted. Both Southwest and American Airlines pilots unions warned that pilots might quit in droves if the federal vaccine mandate is implemented.

“Southwest said it has to mandate vaccines because of new rules from the Biden administration requiring companies with federal contracts to have vaccinated staffs,” KDVR reported. “Southwest’s work for the government includes flying the military in emergencies and carrying mail for the U.S. Postal Service.”

However, the Biden administration’s OSHA regulation that mandates qualifying employers ensure that their employees are vaccinated has not been formally issued despite having been announced over one month ago.

“Last week, rivals American Airlines, Alaska Airlines and JetBlue told their staff they needed to be vaccinated,” KDVR noted. “United Airlines in August was the first major airline to do so and has since said that more than 97% of its workers have been vaccinated. United also said it would put staff who couldn’t get the shots due to medical or religious reasons on unpaid leave until COVID-19 rates go down.”

Re: Southwest Airlines Massis Sickout Oct 9 and 10 2021

It was about 1800 at end of weekend on Sunday evening so now add about 650 making conservative estimate at about 2500 flight cancellations, and counting...

Southwest has continually lied to the public attributing cancellations to weather problems and computer problems. There is good info from other media outlets that pilots are acting collectively through groups and they do not refer to it as a "sickout." They are regarding this as a basic freedom issue. The pilots are holding all the cards and I pray that they continue to hold strong as we each need to resist in our own ways NOW. If the controllers of Southwest are willing to continue with their evil attack on Americans and the American and world economy, so be it.

    c'est la guerre

The carrier canceled nearly 350 flights as of 9 a.m. ET, according to flight tracker FlightAware. Meanwhile, more than 300 flights have already been delayed, according to the data.

Even still, the Texas-based carrier told FOX Business in an updated statement Monday morning that it is running "closer to normal operation" despite facing continued weatherchallenges.

"Although we have some new weather in parts of our system, today's operation has vastly improved from the weekend, with a much smaller number of cancellations linked to our weekend recovery efforts," the carrier said.

    Dachsie Comments:

World Economic Forum member, Southwest Airlines CEO, Gary Kelly commented at 1:02 on video track is what we should not trust.

"We're not going to fire anyone.

If they can't get vaccinated, were urging them to seek an accommodation."

Just about every word that comes out of Mr. Kelly's mouth is just another semantic deception.

All of this really gets to all the changing words and science and definitions being inflicted in the name of the PLANdemic.

Re: Southwest Airlines Massis Sickout Oct 9 and 10 2021

    Just heard something on this.

A lot of pilots took vacation time over the weekend. All of the pilot subs that were called declined to come in to work. What type of management allows that many pilots to schedule vacation at the same time?

Re: Southwest Airlines Massis Sickout Oct 9 and 10 2021

Dachsie comments: Southwest Airlines has shown the world that it is still taking its top orders from the cabal so their ostensibly changing policy is not to be trusted. They still are going to allow vaccinated pilots to pilot their commercial aircraft thereby endangering the lives of its passengers. The pilots who took the jab and the passengers who still buy Southwest flight tickets are to be prayed for because they are psychologically unable to critically reason and understand what is being done to them.

SURRENDER?: Southwest Airlines Now Says Nobody Will Be Fired Or Placed On Unpaid Leave Over Vaccines
Southwest Airlines now asks its employees to keep showing up to work, even if unjabbed.[/
    SIZE]

    Tom Pappert by Tom Pappert
    October 19, 2021

Southwest Airlines appears to have reversed its mandatory vaccine policy that would have seen employees placed on “unpaid leave” similar to being fired but without the ability to file for unemployment. Now the airline says no one will be placed on unpaid leave, including those who apply for a vaccine exemption and have their application denied.

Last week two senior executives at Southwest Airlines wrote to staff to tell employees to keep showing up to work even if their vaccine exemption has not been processed by December 8, what was previously a cutoff day that would determine their ability to work for Southwest.

The company previously gave its employees until November 24 to become “fully vaccinated” and or file their request for an exemption. The airline now says it will continue to pay employees while their exemption request is examined, and Southwest promises they will “coordinate with them on meeting the requirements (vaccine or valid accommodation)” with those who are not granted an exemption.

Previously, employees were told they would be placed on an indefinite unpaid leave.

This comes after Southwest Airlines reportedly suffered what many called a “sick-out” that apparently grounded thousands of flights across multiple days as airline workers refused to show up amid fears their job would soon be terminated over vaccine status. Southwest repeatedly claimed weather in Florida forced them to close thousands of flights across the country.

The decision came after the Southwest headquarters was mobbed by “hundreds” of employees protesting the airline’s divisive vaccine mandate yesterday.

“Southwest acknowledges various viewpoints regarding the Covid-19 vaccine, and we have always supported, and will continue to support, our employees’ right to express themselves, with open lines of communication to share issues and concerns,” claimed a spokeswoman.

The airline’s CEO, Gary Kelly, recently appeared on national media to both claim the airline’s grounded flights had nothing to do with the vaccine mandate, but also to reassure employees. “We’re not going to fire any employees over this,” Kelly claimed. “We’re urging all of our employees to get vaccinated. If they can’t get vaccinated, we’re urging them to seek an accommodation.” He added, “So, we’ll do everything we can to support our people here.”

During a panel discussion surrounding vaccine mandates and injuries hosted by Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI), a US Army Surgeon said she had to “ground 3 out of 3 pilots” one morning due to vaccine injuries.

US Army Surgeon Theresa Long said she had to ground 3 pilots one morning due to vaccine injuries during a panel discussion hosted by Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI).

“The third pilot had been vaccinated and felt like he was drunk, chronically fatigued, within 24 hours of vaccination,” Long explained. “The pilot told me he didn’t know what to do, so he drank a lot of coffee to try and quote ‘wake himself up,’ and continued to fly until he realized it wasn’t going away.”
