    If This Be Insurrection

The president is a servant. He derives his authority from the People. By denying the president has a certain authority (declassifying documents) is to declare the People lack that authority. In other words diminishing the authority of the president is a direct attack on the sovereignty of the People. And this is what is commonly known as Insurrection.

Ification is the process of being. To create something you may simply announce your preference for it or against it. The system of classifying documents was ifified in the early 1940s. Before then the People had no power to declassIFY because nothing existed to require declass-IFICATION.

The question then is not the IFICATION of classIFIED documents but the REification of them.

As ex-president Trump has more power than as president. He departed an office of limited authority to become one of the People. I'm afraid the Democrats really messed up by their constant quibbles. They created an ex-president with a claim to the power of the People.

Meanwhile Biden holds a de facto office with limited authority hoping for the day that he too can be called Ex-president. In the meantime he hopes to keep us entertained with illusions of cancer cures and saving humanity from COVID.
