It’s not too complicated. Just draw a diagram which includes the mirror, egg, paper, and the location of where your eyeball would be.
Notice that you can draw a ray which goes from the egg to your eye with a single symmetric bounce off the mirror.
In fact, you don’t even need that big mirror under the paper. you just need one small mirror half way between your eye and the egg.
Can anyone explain how the egg knows there is a mirror there?
