In the old days the Polish families at night time just to keep the pigs in the house so that no one would steal them, one night there was a fire in one of the houses and next morning they found a pig all burn up......they decided not to waste it so they ate it.......they love it so much that from there on every time that they wanted to cook a pork they would lock it up in a house and then burn the house down hahahahahaah
By the way, in Cuba they do the same but only in a room attached to the house, and before you kill a cow or a pig you have to ask permission of the government, you cannot fish in the lakes because they are only for the tourist......so, they fish at night time when there is no one around.

BTW - Hey Ponce, I grew up on a farm in Croatia, and one of the scariest sounds I've ever heard was a pig getting killed, but within 90 minutes those blood sausages made that all go away.
