And finally, a link someone posted in another thread, here is a list of RRE mining stocks.Unfortunately, there are two types of rare earths, light and heavy. In Molycorp's case they are are all lights, the less expensive type and more abundant type, whereas the US military is looking for the heavy type and those are the most in demand and higher priced. As far as Molycorp is concerned they will likely get no support from the Dept. of Defense as they do not have heavies in their deposit. And if they do it is in very very small quantities. Institutional investors have grasped on to this fact. The search outside of China is for heavy rare earth deposits, which are very few in economical deposits.
