My trip to buy a new KIA........ me.............................. V

Left this morning at 8:30, first stop at Toyota......looked around and saw a very nice battery car for $9,113 it was a 2007, told the guy that I would think about it..........went to KIA, fully loaded for $18, 150 out the door.........I wanted to pay with $10,000 cash and $8,000 with credit card, credit card company say OK....seller would not take credit card.........came back home for more cash.......car company would not take Canadian money.....by by Poince told them.

Went back to the Toyota dealer, 2007 129,000 miles with no guarantee, card was like new for being so old, bought it.

Coming back home saw a 2006 Mazda pick up for $5,250....looks great and engine like new, going to pick it up tomorrow.

Tomorrow will cancel my 1996 RAV 4 and insure the other two cars........RAV4 for back up of my back up hahahahahah.

So that now I am back to one car and one pick up.........life is good

The Mazda pick up is more than likely a Ford Ranger. What motor?

Good for you Ponce ! I really think I want a new car , but I have to censor myself, I have 3 , a little truck, a 4x4 and a hybrid SUV...... Just for you Ponce ( Sport Utility Vehicle)

I am trying to wait 4 years til I have to drive her to school 30 miles each way to school ( 120 miles everyday), then I will prolly buy a Nissan rogue $ 22000 out the door. Although I might get a little truck from a friend who goes to the auction ( salvaged tags) , for a beater truck, up and over the grade everyday right now, we'll see?

So you offered to outright buy the car with $10k in cash and $8k on a card, with the approval of the CC company, and the dealership turned you away? You must have had a stupid sales rep then, I can't imagine any company turning down an $18k sale.

Not only that but also the Canadian money which as you know is more valuable than the US piece of paper.

Well, your experience shows that it is not. The value of paper money is determined by what asset you can acquire with it. We mock the USD, but it's the paper of choice across the world. That may change in the future, but until such time it remains king.

But congratulations on your new purchase.

I think you'll be happy with the Toyota, they are reliable.

the 10K was canadian paper, not legal tender in the US. If he had US notes it would have went through without any issue.
Jackie did it and you know it!

I know Toyotas have good reputations, but the only Toyota I ever owned was a piece of shit that broke down time after time. Maybe I got a lemon.
