I'm not sure what tl;dr means, but are you saying you lack the attention span to read a long text?

Younger generations can't read blocks of text. That's why most news articles are one sentence paragraphs. Most younger generations think with images rather than text and loose their attention after with too much words in one place.

It's a side effect of technology and increased levels of Autism.

Let the trend continue a couple of generations and most communication will be through grunts.

Aww man this book aint got no pictures!

Has a lot to do with society being programmed to expect instant gratification. Gonna suck for some when there's a glitch in the system and you can't stare at a screen all day.

I'm not exactly sure about that.

I'm fairly intelligent and I can't read big blocks of text. It's just a different wiring/style of thought that is better adapted to the virtual/modern world. I don't think it means ALL people are as stupid, but just think in a different way. Younger people can do insane amounts of multi-tasking online that older generations can't come close to. Basically our brains are being wired to not focus on specific tasks, but do many tasks at the same time. You have to diminish one type of thought to expand another type since your brain has limited capacity.

If I see a big block of text I just load up NeoSpeech Julie.
