Ketchup - looks like a good recipe.

    Never liked Heinz

Don't know about all the claims that go along with this but the recipe sounds tasty

I don't think it calls for vegemite

But we call Ketchup, Tomato Sauce or Dead horse if your into 'strayun slang. I've always used an Aussie family brand.

vegemite is/was good though. Acquired taste and you need to use just the right amount. It's not peanut butter. Kraft bought it years ago and thinned it out a bit. Substituted something. Some kind of margarine type fat or something. Anyway it was recently bought back by an Aussie company so I hope they restore it to its former glory.

2 American guys down under for a motorcycle ride try Vegemite.

Aussie homes must always have tomato sauce and vegemite. It's the law. I think its' in the constitution.

Buying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six-foot-four and full of muscles
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich

they did a pretty good job. I'd go a bit thicker. More colour. On both slices. Fold each slice on itself and eat.

piping hot Toast is definitely the best way to eat vegemite.

Israel bans if for their own use but most likely controls the company. I've been making my own catsup. All the store bought catsup is half sugar.

This is of course bullshit. Heinz uses 21% tomato paste in their ketchup, which is equal to 60% fresh tomato, you make tomato paste by simmering out the water, which I am sure the Israeli company does, as does the recipe of ketchup posted (boiled for 10 hours). Sure there are other issues with Heinz ketchup, like adding high fructose corn syrup, but they were framed for using tomato paste. Essentially there is no difference between using tomato paste, made out of fresh tomatoes boiled down to paste, and using fresh tomatoes boiled down to ketchup for 10 hours, nutritionwise.

This was only done to allow the Israeli company market advantages.
