In a tearful statement made before his trial, Warmbier told a gathering of reporters in Pyongyang he was offered a used car worth $10,000 if he could get a propaganda banner and was also told that if he was detained and didn’t return, $200,000 would be paid to his mother in the form of a charitable donation.

as expected Warmbeer has died, if he was actually alive. He may have been at some point but it's unlikely he was arrested and jailed in Korea.

He was "released" back to the US in an unresponsive or coma state. No surprise there.

You might have seen his Father on TV wearing the same suit jacket he wore when in "North Korean Court". Strange thing to do, don't you think? Of course people will anchor their belief that Warmbeer junior was actually alive and in jail in North Korea for a time.

I think the whole story is made up from nothing. Especially seeing how it fits with the other "jailed in North Korea" stories which are clearly rubbish.

Lot of strange stories come out on or about the Solstice.
