Today, U.S. District Judge Alfred H. Bennett took into consideration Johnson’s position as a teacher and that he had been involved in collecting child pornography for more than 18 years. He then sentenced Johnson to 204 and 120 months for the receipt and possession convictions, respectively.

The sentences will run concurrently. Johnson was further ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $70,000 to four known victims and will serve 15 years of supervised release following completion of his prison term, during which time he will have to comply with numerous requirements designed to restrict his access to children and the Internet. He will also be ordered to register as a sex offender.

A San Leon was sentenced Wednesday to three years in prison for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

Eusebio Quintanilla Ortiz Jr., 25, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of sexual assault of a child as part of a plea agreement, court records show.

He initially had been charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, according to court records.

Galveston County Sheriff’s Office deputies in 2015 interviewed a girl who said she was 13-years-old when Ortiz started texting her and talking to her through online applications, according to a probable cause affidavit.

The two communicated throughout the summer of 2015 and eventually the relationship became sexual, according to the affidavit.

The girl told deputies that Ortiz would bring her back to his residence to have sex and they would also have sex at her residence, according to the affidavit.

Ortiz told the girl not to tell anyone about the encounters, according to the affidavit.
