Well that didn't last very long.
Dems caved and got nothing. Too bad the shutdown didn't last a few more days as the news cycle would have killed them. At least they did get cucked.
They got six years of CHIP, and a promise to "address DACA." They also get another chance in three weeks to have their way on DACA.

This is true.
But they're in a worse position now than when they pulled this stunt.
If they shut down the government again, there is going to be a huge price to pay. Most Americans get tired of shit pretty fast. Plus, the republicans can wait them out for 4 weeks and then DACA expires. Democrats are on a time clock.
If they don't shut the government down again, they have no leverage. They will get eaten by their own. They have to do it.
They're in an impossible position.
