    1890 Carson City Morgan

Picked up my first CC Morgan yesterday off Ebay. Rolling the dice a bit on grade, but always wanted one and it clearly didn't break the bank. Recently put together a couple sets of 1 oz Lunar Series 2 coins (less the 2019 pig). If you are patient on Ebay you will be able to assemble the entire series for ~$450 with the collectors box. If they have half the cache that the Series 1 did I expect to see the complete sets selling for $600 or so shortly after the 2019 is issued. The first series has been very good to me... YMMV.

Pics of the Morgan.... opinions on grade/

your lunar set -- does that include the varieties -- don't some of them have enamel, gilding, etc?

I only put together the 1 oz sets w/o the privy, gilding or coloring. They went a bit crazy with the sizes and all the variables on the Series 2. The only other ones I might consider putting together would be the 2 oz sets. Anything bigger than that and the investment gets a bit large for easy turnover. It's hard to get people to pay a 12-1 ratio to gold, but that's pretty close to where it was on the series 1 not long ago. Closer to 24-1 now.

Have you ever used PCGS Photograde? It's probably the best online resource to see what your coins would grade at:

Based on the above link, I would say your coin is between an F12 and F15.

I have never seen that link. Many thanks Franks.

And I agree with your opinion as well.
