the official narrative is BS... the van isnt that crushed at all.

watching the vid now, many good points
All the money that exists cannot buy Earth, and the evidence is that we destroy our habitat as a result, thinking that we can just seize and pillage as we see fit. If crowds endorse the pursuit of wealth at their own level, they cannot prevent multinationals from doing exactly the same. The “dystopian endless growth paradigm” is going to end with a bang but will open the door to a premise endorsing that Earth is the only wealth we truly have while journeying through life.

Owner of limo that crashed, killing 20, was FBI terrorism informant

Shahed Hussain served as an FBI informant in two terrorism cases after pleading guilty to a federal fraud charge in 2002

NEW YORK — The owner of the limousine company linked to the deadliest transportation accident in nine years is no stranger to the law.

Shahed Hussain, who owns Prestige Limousine, served as an FBI informant in two terrorism cases after pleading guilty to a federal fraud charge in 2002.

A state official confirmed Hussain’s bizarre history to The Albany Times Union.

Now, Hussain faces the prospect of an avalanche of lawsuits for the crash that killed 20 people, as well as possible criminal charges.

On Monday, two days after the crash, Gov. Cuomo confirmed that the driver of the limo did not have the proper license and that the vehicle had failed an inspection just last month.

“The owner of the company had no business putting a failed vehicle on the road,” Cuomo said.

Court records show that federal prosecutors credited Hussain, a Pakistani immigrant, with providing “substantial assistance” in 2006.

At the time, prosecutors said he’d assisted in a fraud and drug case involving 12 individuals. He’d also testified in the terrorism sting of an Albany imam, Yassin Aref, and Bangladeshi pizzeria owner Mohammed Hossain. The pair were convicted of laundering money for a fake terrorism plot set up by the feds and each sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Hussain also served as an FBI rat in the controversial case of the Newburgh Four.

In that case, Hussain posed as a wealthy radicalized Muslim who befriended four men eventually convicted of plotting to shoot down U.S. military planes with a Stinger missile and set off bombs at Jewish targets in Riverdale area of the Bronx. The government faced criticism for the case because Hussain was seen as organizing the scheme and urging on the participants. Nevertheless, the four men, James Cromitie, David Williams, Onta Williams and Laguerre Payen were convicted, thanks in part to Hussain’s testimony.

The work as an FBI informant paid well, according to “The Terror Factory: Inside the FBI's Manufactured War on Terrorism.” The book by journalist Trevor Aaronson reported that Hussain used the money he earned from the FBI to buy the Crest Inn Suites & Cottages in Gansevoort.

The seedy inn also served as the business address for Hussain’s limo company. A longtime resident of the inn said that for at least two years Hussain kept limos on the property and seemed to care little about safety.

“As long as they get money, they don’t care who’s getting In their vehicles,” the resident, Laken Prosser, 31, said.

Efforts to reach Hussein were unsuccessful Monday. Prosser said he’d recently returned to Pakistan.
Did I miss the obligatory GSUS thread on this dubious "event"?

Mixed feelings on this joowey looking/behaving vlogger, but he appears to have done a reasonable job with this. It's my first exposure to the "event." Was it staged to try to throw cold water on the Kavanaugh confirmation party? Plus some more "we need driverless vehicles" propaganda?

I beg to differ greatly.

I remember a couple years back I was riding a MTA bus in queens it was fairly packed and we were chugging along at a stop and go clip that is typical for the city.

All of a sudden the driver jammed on the brakes . I dont know why and I couldn't see but all I remember is this

My ass was flying in the air....literally

I landed on the ground and about ten other people did as well in various parts of the buss

It was crazy because nobody screamed........ you didn't have time to.

You were standing up one second and then on your ass the next with the birds flying around your head.

Nobody said nothing to each other either as the level of Shock was palpable.

My stop came up shortly after and I left not sure how to explain wtf happened.

My point is this.

We weren't going fast and just about everyone on that bus went airborne

That limo blew a stop sign and nobody in limousine were seatbelts so that means everyone in the limo was a projectile

Excessive speed and no safety belts is a fatal combination

Sure, how to think some Pakistani owner of limos in N.Y. would not be a terror informant?

Its not a coincidence, but the accident probably was.

Re: New York Limo Crash: What Happened?

Driver of 'death trap' limo had two drug convictions before birthday party crash that killed 19 people and himself

• Scott Lisinicchia, 53, was driving limo which crashed, killing himself, all 18 passengers, and two pedestrians
• The limo had been dispatched at the last minute to replace a bus the group had booked which broke down
• The limo party of 17 was celebrating the 30th birthday of newlywed Amy Steenburg, who was killed in crash

I dont think the previous convictions had anything to do with it. Repeat of previously posted at link:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6257373/Stretch-limo-driver-charged-twice-drug-offences.html

The stretch limo driver killed in America's worst crash for nine years had been charged with drug offences twice since 2010, it emerged today.

Scott Lisinicchia, 53, was driving a group to a surprise 30th birthday party when he crashed into a parked car in Schoharie, New York, killing 17 passengers and two pedestrians.

In 2010, he was charged with with unlawful possession of marijuana in Saratoga Springs, according to local media reports at the time.
Three years later he was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and an equipment violation after being pulled over during a traffic stop.

It comes after the driver's stepson revealed he had been reluctant to get behind the wheel on the morning of Sunday's crash.

Lisinicchia was one of two drivers who worked for Prestige Limousines, also known as Saratoga Luxury Limos and Hasy Limos - and records have emerged that raise questions about the state of the vehicles in the fleet.

Lisinicchia's stepson Cicero Richards branded Prestige's fleet of five cars, four of which have been taken out of service upon inspection since 2016, 'pieces of cr*p.'

'They were junk,' Richards, 27, told New York Daily News.
He added that his stepfather had not wanted to drive the car on the day of the deadly crash.

'The last time I talked to him was 6 o'clock in the morning before that (the crash) happened. We were talking and chatting and stuff and he said he didn't really want to do the job.'

Prestige lists its address as Crest Inn Suites & Cottages in Gansevoort, which serves as transitional housing. Crest Inn resident, Laken Prosser, 31, said Hussain once kept limos at the business, which he also runs.

He echoed Richards' statements about the state of the cars.

'There were like four or five limos. They were junky, very very junky. I know they let people drink alcohol and do drugs in them because I found drugs in them,' said Presser, who said he occasionally cleaned the cars.

Family members said that the limousine that crashed had been a last minute replacement after the bus meant to transport the party broke down.
Twenty minutes before the crash, passenger Erin McGowan – who died alongside new husband Shane – texted aunt Valerie Abeling to say the limo was 'in terrible condition', the Washington Post reports.

Abeling said the group had rented 'some kind of bus' to take them to the party venue, but it had broken down. The same company then sent a limo to take the group the rest of the way.

On Monday, more than 2,500 people gathered for a tearful vigil for the victims of the fatal limousine crash in Amsterdam, New York.
The vigil spilled along the pedestrian bridge connecting the south and north sides of Amsterdam as family and friends were joined by elected leaders and members of the community.

'There is so much pain here, in a very small part of the world,' U.S. Rep Paul Tonko said, according to the Times Union. His hand, which gripped a candle, shook. 'So much pain.'

James Tracy, SCHOHARIE TRAGEDY: The Strange Case of the Shape-Shifting Limousine

October 9, 2018 James Fetzerblog
James Tracy

It’s being billed as “the deadliest transportation accident” in almost a decade. Over the past two days major media outlets descended on the small upstate New York community of Schoharie to report on the tragic deaths of 20 twenty and thirty-somethings–many of them newlyweds with newborn children.
Albany’s Times Union reports:
They were young adults — sisters, brothers, old friends and newlyweds — who were celebrating one of their birthday’s in a rented SUV limousine on a drive through rural Schoharie County.
They are now victims of the nation’s deadliest transportation disaster in nine years.
Twenty people died Saturday afternoon in the horrific wreck at the intersection of state routes 30 and 30A in the town of Schoharie. The stretch limo, packed with 18 people, drove through a stop sign at the notorious intersection and fatally struck two people in the parking lot of a popular country store, before slamming into an earthen embankment and killing all of the oversized vehicle’s occupants.
What’s odd about this event is the fact that there are very few photos of the vehicles involved in the collision. Coverage states most of the victims were traveling in an oversized SUV-style limousine that was illegally modified and owned by a Pakistani-born FBI informant.

Here's the rest of James Tracy's article:

Out of 129 photos the Times Union published, most of which were comprised of attending law enforcement, reporters, grieving onlookers and relatives, and the swiftly organized candlelight vigil, only one is included of the purported limousine, and this image shows the vehicle deeply immersed in foliage and therefore barely visible.
https://jamesfetzer.org/wp-content/u.../1024x1024.jpgIn this Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 photo, a limousine, left, has landed in the woods following a fatal crash in Schoharie, N.Y. (Tom Heffernan Sr. via AP) Photographs of the limousine are sparse in other news outlets as well. Those that have emerged appear to show different SUV type limousines, and a pickup truck in the woods that doesn’t even remotely resemble the limo in question.
https://jamesfetzer.org/wp-content/u...1-van-WTEN.jpg
The limousine allegedly struck a 2015 Toyota Highlander SUV in a nearby parking lot before traveling in to the woods, yet the autos in the photographs are clearly not that make, and with differing numbers of side windows look as if they are three entirely different vehicles. In fact, there are no photos of the damaged Toyota Highlander in any of the coverage, which seems odd given the major news media’s attention to the lurid details of such events.
https://jamesfetzer.org/wp-content/u...ly-Gazette.jpg
https://jamesfetzer.org/wp-content/u...BS6-Albany.jpg
Below are several images of a 2001 Ford Excusion limousine, most of which have five or more side windows or a very long one.
https://jamesfetzer.org/wp-content/u...tch-limo-1.jpg https://jamesfetzer.org/wp-content/u...tch-limo-2.jpg https://jamesfetzer.org/wp-content/u...tch-limo-3.jpg
Video news stories of the crash aftermath online are sparse. Yet Rochester New York’s NBC affiliate WROC ran a brief report on October 7 with the image of a demolished black, sedan style limousine on a roadway that apparently never even descended into the nearby wooded area the white Ford Excursion was allegedly recovered from. Could this have been stock footage of an accident? If so the viewer is led to believe the image was taken at the scene, yet according to the white SUV Ford Excursion limo recovery storyline it was not.

Another aforementioned peculiar (though now commonplace) element of this story is the profuse amount of coverage afforded the victim profiles, mourning and vigils in contrast to concrete evidence of the tragic event itself and its aftermath, which photos of the damaged vehicles would have surely provided.

There are different coach (limo) builders with different styles. Generally there are FOUR fixed windows on an Excursion between the B pillar and the rear door.

DEFINITELY
a stretched Excursion in these two photos -

Photos match exactly what the rear of an Excursion looks like -

Re: New York Limo Crash: What Happened?

BTW, if you go to joogle street view and compare all the details of the incident scene photos to the details of the street view ALL details match up - street signs, mail boxes, driveways, guard rails, landscape, etc. Note in the joogle street view that the road that dead ends at the restaurant (the stop sign that the limo blew through) is consistently a LONG descent at a fairly steep grade for well over a mile.

And FWIW the curb weight of a stock rear wheel drive Excursion is 6,600 lbs. A stretched limo version would weigh in the vicinity of 10,000+ lbs PLUS the ~4,000 lbs of passengers. That particular Excursion recently failed a state inspection. Being that it was poorly maintained the inspection failure could have had to do with the brakes on that truck that was being used well beyond its engineered limits.

Exceeding the braking abilities of a stretch limo is the one thing a limo driver should be constantly aware of.
