    Re: Benefits of Turmeric

Glass, is this you MOOD which has been so roller-coastery? Or was there some "observable" physical ailment you were medicating, in which case only disclose what you feel proper.

I didn't feel a whit of difference either from my eating say 1-3 G's/day turmeric powder. Overlapping this new turmeric consumption & beginning around the same time, I've been taking these "Purlina II" touted as a detox/liver-cleanse supplement, which I bought in Thailand, and I could only find sites in Thai language describing it, IE
    http://www.thaimarketshare.com/produ...?productid=382
    which translate.google.com says says:

    Purlina II (Perry Catalina II).

    Ingredients in 1 capsule.

    L - Glutathione 150 mg glutathione
    Choline 100 mg.
The cast of three Spirulina 80 mg
    Turmeric Extract 50 mg
    L - BSS Caffeine 30 mg
    L - 30 mg Methyl O'Neill
    L - Glutamine 20 mg
    Vitamin B 3 20 mg
    Chromium Chelate 6.5 mg
How Nick Thomas L. Pan Zhi 6 mg
    Vitamin B6 2 mg
    Vitamin B 2 1.7 mg.
    Vitamin B1 1.5 mg
    Vitamin B12 2 mcg.
    Folic Acid 200 mcg.

Dose: Dosage 1 tablet before bedtime.
^ about 50 cents a tablet- I don't think I'll buy another box after these run out. I get plenty of B-complex, been eating turmeric straight recently, & most those other thing I have no clue about, guess I could goog-em.

Thing is, there was no known, observable health issue I've been seeking to remedy by taking any of the above- I've just gone on a little liver cleanse kick recently, really just stemming from "guilty conscience for past sins" namely drinking myself silly a few times in past lives. I've seen/felt absolutely no diff this past ~month now taking these "herbal remedies". And they're a little too spendy to just take without any "cause" - except to imagine they're acting prophylactically (preventing)... in which case I'd like to get them straight from well-chosen foods, prolly cheaper and more effective anyways.

Glass, listen to this guest's spiel, she's big on IODINE being the root of a bunch of shite which Western med overlooks, or prescribes nonsense for etc- a big one was how it affects even MOOD,
