Here's what I do using Internet Explorer:
1. Right click image
2. Highlight "Properties"
3. Highlight and copy (Control C) "address/URL"
4. Choose "Add an Image" icon in the Quick Reply toolbar
5. Choose 2nd tab "From URL"
6. Paste (Control V) your URL into field
7. UNCLICK the last box ("Retrieve remote file and reference locally")
Step 7 is the key.
