Ashkenazi Jews are not Khazars

I always thought Khazars were basically Turkish, and that Ashkenazi were mostly German?

Khazars are a Turkic tribe (same region), but unlike the Turks, they practiced eugenics for centuries and do not identify with Turks. Although there is genetic similarity between the two, Khazar culture and tribal cohesion is completely separate from Turks, as is their religion.

The AshkeNAZIs are Khazars who lived in Germany. They do not have German ancestry (except in rare cases of intermarriage), nor do they identify as German.
