HOW AMERICA SCREWS UP THE WORLD WITHOUT EVER LETTING ITS PEOPLE KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING

Americans, the broad mass of them, simply do not know what is happening in Ukraine or in Syria or in Palestine or in a score of other places under assault by America’s establishment, its de facto, ongoing, non-elected government. Those place names are mentioned of course, and regularly, and various interviews are conducted, and maps and charts are shown, but the careful listener or reader will see that none of what is offered is genuinely informative, all of it serving to build one pre-determined idea of events, many of the words resembling the kind of one-liners politicians repeat over and over in America’s literally content-free political campaigns. We see many bits and pieces of seeming information, but they are all just pieces taken from the same jig-saw puzzle, capable only of being assembled in one way.

Americans also have very little idea of the nature of the men who are the actors in these various places, America’s press and networks virtually never granting or soliciting the insights of foreign leaders and representatives not already toeing the American line. Thoughtful foreign leaders generally are only seen through brief images and highly-colored descriptions.

On the Washington Journal (CSPAN) this morning, they were interviewing some military leader who was showing off the new facilities built in Virginia to train soldiers in urban warfare abroad. The first two people who called into the show commented to him that they were more concerned that the facility and training were being developed to fight U.S. citizens here domestically.

We've been talking about sheeple at GIM/GSUS for years now. I gotta tell you, I see noticeable evidence that people are waking up. Five years ago, it seemed like 1 in 50 or 100 had a clue. Now it seems like 1 in 5 or 10, at least around these parts. The awareness level is greatly heightening. The politicians still have a stronghold, and there are likely some crisis moments ahead, but I think people are becoming quicker to recognize things for what they are, though they may not yet understand how to stop it, or prepare for it.

I've had many discussions with people who are dropping their partisan allegiance, and they know something is afoul. A close friend (liberal/democrat tendencies) recently mentioned he's lost trust in both sides and now recognizes that the government is squandering his tax money rather than using it to help society as he used to expect. He's starting to think that government perpetuates war. He mentioned he's concerned about his retirement money, and wonders if perhaps there is something to this idea of actually buying "gold rocks". He never would have said any of this five years ago.

Is anybody else noticing the tide turning?

Here's my idea for Texas...

Hire a group of military/ex-military to organize and train the gun owning citizens of Texas on how to protect their cities/state from an invasion. Convention centers could be used to speak to large groups of patriot citizens. Live training exercises could include how to actually patrol streets, cities and neighborhoods and how to defend them. Maybe issue/sell T-shirts for the public exercises. Red T-shirts could read "Texas Patriot Militia" so the rest of the public would know their purpose.

How do you think the government would like this?

Bizarro World ... or deja voo. The present crop of 'U.S. citizens' are a construct of Lincoln's (un)civil war while the 'gun owning citizens' of Texas would likely just as soon eliminate those same 'citizens' of the U.S. as they would defend against a Russian invasion.

Maybe if they made a sport of it and traded cards giving the stats of each of the contestant?
