I notice that we are hearing relatively little about the situation on the ground in China. Not that we could believe anything we were hearing, but now, I at least, am hearing nothing.
There is a thing called 'herd immunity' which we have probably discussed here previously. This herd immunity comes about when a certain preponderant percentage of the populace has been exposed to a pathogen and subsequently develops immunity through exposure. At this point the plague will run itself out. I wonder if this will be a hallmark of this plague also and if not, why?

Incredibly Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore have been holding the line for over a month, case count not moving for days for any of those three, case #s 45, 115, and 150 respectively. Meanwhile cases are exploding in the USA, number of cases jumped from 607 to 752 from late this afternoon to just now. It appears to me that cases in the USA are on track to double every 3-4 days.
How do Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore manage to cap the case count? Because they have a plan.

American culture is too uppity/close-minded to have bidets, in general, as 99% of home bathrooms are designed and built without any room for a bidet...much like the addiction to sitting vs. squatting when taking a dump (the squatty-potty stool has helped improve this outlook).
