Local medical professionals take part in ‘White Coats for Black Lives’ movement

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Medical professionals in Watertown took part in a nationwide movement called "White Coats for Black Lives" on Friday. It was all to show their respect in the wake of George Floyd's death.


Eight minutes and 46 seconds - that's the time a former Minneapolis police officer, who is now charged with murder, knelt on the neck of George Floyd last week.


Eight minutes and 46 seconds is the time medical professionals across the country knelt Friday to honor Floyd's life.


Dozens of those professions were in the city of Watertown.


"Enough is enough and it's time for us to start doing something and looking within," said Dr. Stephanie Oliva, who organized the local event.


Dr. Oliva says she only got the word out a few days ago and wasn't sure how many would show up.


But, dozens of doctors and nurses lined Watertown's Washington Street for those 8 minutes and 46 seconds in solidarity.


Among them was Dr. Robert Kimball, a general surgeon at Samaritan Medical Center.


He and his peers are kneeling for Floyd and kneeling for the inequalities in American healthcare.


"We need to make certain that we have a system that provides the same level of excellent care to all patients regardless of race, creed, color, national origin or any other criteria you could call a demise," said Dr. Kimball.


While it was a moment of silence, participants say emotions were felt and they left with a sense of hope."


"In the end, I'm left hopeful that there many people who are now involved in addressing this issue that had not been charged to do that before," said Dr. Kimball.


Dr. Oliva agrees and says she's hopeful Friday's demonstration is an agent of change for racism in the community.


“We know that it’s not okay and we see the pain and we care basically. We want to change and make it better,” she said.

We have no idea who "George Floyd" is.

We have no idea that the human being alleged to have been killed in the 10-minute official video of the incident is.

We have no positive identification of the individual's true name or that that individual is actually the same individual shown in the official 10-minute video.

We certainly have no positive proof or evidence that the alleged victim that was in the video was actually killed.

We have no evidence that ANY human being was killed.

A "Reverend Al" is promoting the big media event called the George Floyd Memorial for last week in August and is selling this big lie as an event that should be attended and that will be conducted in the best MLK way possible. (Guess the thousands who will attend will not be practicing social distancing at the "memorial" in honor of a fictional entity that was fictionally killed.)

No human being can be said to have died and had funerals for because of "Covid-19". ALL THE COVID-19 DEATH DATA ARE FALSE AND FRAUDULENT.

There is supposed to be a "million man march" in DC this weekend beginning today, Saturday June 6 2020.

Trump has called in state national guard units from UTAH and other states to stay in hotels in DC to deal with whatever may happen.

The mayor of DC, name sounds like Bauer- did not look up, has commanded the owners/managers of the hotels to not house these national guard troops. But Trump can overrule that mayor and I think he has done so already. The troops get to stay in the hotels.

Trump is said to have played along with the "national pandemic" meme in order for him to be able to bypass and overrule existing laws because there is a "national emergency" status and he can call troops to respond to domestic events.

This could be a very interesting weekend, but do not count on any million men. That usually means a few thousand men at most.
