He advised me that two of the Minneapolis cops charged along with Chauvin were third shift rookies (meaning they were at work for only the 3rd time since leaving the police academy) and Chauvin was their Field Training Officer (FTO), which would explain a lot.

Postal employees have never had a problem funding their own ammo purchases. Although if the ammo is private I think expecting a warning shot might be unreasonable.

I'm glad you mentioned this. I read an article online that said the same thing. I sure do feel bad for those two rookies, 3rd day on the effing job and they have to go through this nightmare. They got thrown under the bus.

You all know I've been through the program. When you are new, you do what your FTO tells you. It's paramilitary. I got a formal letter "written up" because once I told my FTO no, I'm not doing that. We got in a huge argument, I got reprimended...even though, to this day, I feel I was right.

Also, please share when you have time what defunding the police would look like. I've got thoughts on that, but more current info is always good. Thanks midnight.
