I refer to this as the TULIP INDEX.

Take anything real and divide it by anything imaginary and you will approximate the TULIP INDEX. The real part of anything imaginary is ZERO. Therefore real divided by imaginary results in a pole (aka a singularity). Since there is no imaginary component of real the imaginary denominator goes into the imaginary portion of the numerator zero times. But mathematicians are convinced that zero divided by zero results in a one (nothing from nothing equals something).

Where the confusion results is when you try to divide the real component of the numerator by the imaginary component of the denominator. Like only joins with like so the result of this division is NONSENSE as you are attempting to discover how many times imaginary can be subtracted from real.

This is what I call the TULIP INDEX.

hmm, yeah that's all really interesting & shit.

But what's important now is that you agree with the consensus around here, that now is a good time to disembark from this Pd-enburg, yes?

Hmmm ... seems the dealers don't have any to sell. Contracts for delivery to fill?

You are used to seeing the imaginary and your mind makes you believe it is real. When you get ahold of real why trade it for imaginary? There might be a case made for trading the real for something else that is real but the women keep getting older, the whiskey younger and the racehorses slower.

if U have no current position in Pd, physical or paper markets,

then surely U'd still agree with the consensus here, that Pd would make a great short play in the paper markets right now?

    sell, sell, sell.
sell Pd short now and grow rich soon, very rich, very soon

Agree to sell what I don't have? Why don't I just offer you a quit claim deed to your house? I would only ask for one dollar in exchange.

What about using the imaginary to buy the real?

Never happen. You use the imaginary to make others believe they have sold something. In the process they abandon that thing and to abate the nuisance you step in and claim abandoned property. Claims are all we have. Title we discarded several hundred years ago. To complete the process though you really should place a legal notice in the paper to the effect that you found something abandoned and are claiming it until someone with a better claim appears.

The imaginary price is down 95 bux an ounce this morning .... Yawn!!!

Seems the market wants to shake out as much as they can based upon the volatility.

    Imaginary volatility. Correct?

Could be that the market reacts to the no trade deal with China, which may affect the global production of cars, which uses Pd in the catalysators.
