I started taking extra Calcium and I would have to say, DAMN ! :)
It really does make a difference. I swam noticeably faster this morning and had more strength when I did some stretching exercises afterwards where you support your own body weight. It was wierd - like being in a new body or something.
Not just a typical biological rhythm.
I am using Calcium Phosphate from a 4 pound bag of Bone Meal from plants. I sift it and get a pile of fine bone meal dust, then mix that with Canola Oil. I'm taking about 1/2 gram at a time. I mixed it so that I get about 1/2 gram per teaspoon.
If you look it up, you will see that Calcium Phosphate is the primary ingredient in teeth and bones.
I got onto this during my last dental check-up. The hygienist tried to sell me some 'special' toothpaste for $14 a tube. She stressed that the toothpaste had Calcium Phosphate in it.
When I looked at my own toothpaste, it has "Calcium Tri-Phospate" listed as the primary non-active ingredient. Of course it has Sodium Fluoride listed as the "active ingredient".
I am confused about whether or not teeth can be-remineralized. Teeth are vascular organs - they have blood vessels. Calcium Phosphate is delivered to your teeth via blood and via your saliva - I think. Some dentists say that teeth can not be re-mineralized. Yet they try and sell you Sodium Fluoride, claiming that it helps prevent cavities somehow, some way.
Some American Indians had exceptional teeth health. Skeletons of adult Indians had all their teeth, yet they never brushed or flossed. I mentioned this to the hygienist, she said, "it must be their genetics."
I take better care of my teeth than the Indians - why don't I have better dental health ? Is it because the toothpaste actually hurts my teeth ?
I feel like I get a better brush when I use toothpaste instead of no toothpaste, but that might just be the psychological effect of cleaning my mouth with something minty tasting.
I tried making toothpaste, following some of the recipes you folks linked to. I went with 1/3 cup Calcium Phosphate, 1/6 cup Baking Soda, and 1/2 cup Canola Oil. The Calcium Phosphate is from screened Bone Meal. It is a little abrasive.
