I've been eating all these local raspberries up like the world is ending tomorrow. I can't get enough of them. I thought to myself, could God create something so healthy and so delicious?

On the 12 day, God created the raspberry for us to enjoy life and savour the flavor.

I found this article to support my theory.

god creates cycles of plenty and then waiting for plenty. Thats it in a nut shell. You either have tons or your waiting for tons. It's either tons or nones. I think I have a theme going right there.somebody created globalization which buys tons when the goings good, then it buys nones.

All our good stuff used to get exported to countries who could pay tons for the tons and that meant we had to as well. To have a lobster we had to pay $40 for one. All the lobster when over seas. Last Christmas we could get them for about $28 for one because they could no longer sell them overseas.

i've seen a few of these situations. Walnuts. There is a surplus of walnuts. Instead of $40-$50kg they are $10/kg. Strawberries are everywhere, big juicy and cheap. Seems Japan and Europe has gone broke and can't buy our Tons. Now we get to buy them and eat them. tons and tons.

It's a good time to pack em and stack em while there's plenty. raspberry jam is very nice. raspberry pie? hmmmm How about a little raspebrry jus with some pork?

So in the short term the collapse of globalisation is good, there is a double edge to that sword.

That was great post, Glass. Also, I need to learn how to store all the fresh fruits and veggies around here. They are in abundance, now, and cheap too. It would be great to learn how to pack and stack them. There is a stand, I can get 8 avocados for 1 frn.

I'm thinking about learning how to dehydrate.

Go to youtube, there are tons of videos on canning and drying for storage. Today is the first time I am trying canning tomatoes, seems easy so far.

Cheers! Let us know how the canning is going. I'll check out youtube, internet's a bit slow here, but I'll do what I can.

BTW, inflation, only 7 avocados for a $1 now, instead of 8.
