I've been eating up all these local avacados. Here's a great tip. Be patient and wait until the avocado is just ripe, then slice the avocado in half. Remove the pit, and add some organic mayonnaise. Damn tastiest thing I've ever had.

I heard if u just eat 1/2 an avocado and save the other 1/2 for later, to keep the pit in the saved 1/2. Helps prevent it from browning? Maybe an old myth, I never tried in a 'controlled experiment'.

I just ate the 2nd half of this experiment, and it was delicious. I can attest, if you eat the first half of an avocado, the 2nd half with the pit in will last for at least several hours afterwards.
