Hi Zap, you sound like an off breed of sorts so that is a good thing. Sounds like the throat area is hitting hard which could be or not be smoking. I'm positive more can give better advice but I will start somewhere.
Vit B-17 I think it's called Nitriloside. You can get it easy from apricot seeds. Look into how they dry them and where they come from, these are toted as one of the only cures they document. I said they! There are many many more fixes that work fast without killing you. The apricot seeds contain a lot of natural arsenic so you don't want to go crazy about it, can make you sick and die!
Check that out for now. I cant get to any of my book marks either right now.
Vitamin C ascorbic acid) in huge doses with..... there is a huge post on this but I can't think right now. lecathin? Something like that.
Have to pass out. Stop worrying, that is 50% of the problem.
Peace.

Hey Zap, sorry to hear about all your worries... and that is all they are now just worries. I am not saying you shouldnt have concerns with all of your family coming down with similar conditions and a daughter to raise. However worry can cause thing to get worse as well. I am no doctor and I hope our mamboni can give you better advice than I. Try and focus and not worry... yeah right... no easy job for us mortals. But you need to focus on that you are fine now and probably will be fine. You have no symptoms at the moment I gather from your post... so keep a sharp eye on things, get a doctor to check it routinely, exercise, eat well , get plenty of sleep and dont focus on the negative or worry. Its a killer in its self with all the stress it puts your body under. Here is a link that might help some. Take care and dont cross any bridges before you get to them. Please! http://ezinearticles.com/?Dont-Worry-About-Cancer---Most-Cancers-Are-Survivable&id=2731285

Hi Zap! Yes it seems likely that you would have a genetic predisposition to throat cancer. Predisposition means you are more likely to get it, not that you will get it. The fact that you look less like your father and siblings, may have actually saved you from inheriting the predisposition altogether... Anyway risk factors that you should avoid are especially smoking and hard liquors. A beer or two, or a glass of wine is probably not dangerous to you. Make sure you get enough vit C, and Omega 3 (fishoil) to keep your immunesystem strong, herbs that have anti-cancer properties, is turmeric and dandelion root, which I think in your case would make sense to take regularly in small doses to prevent growth of cancer cells. Even if you have inherited the predisposition to throat cancer, if you follow these simple guidelines, you will probably never develop throat cancer...

Enjoy everyday with your little one, stay healthy and don't worry! With a little luck, we're all going to get out of here together. Maybe sooner then we think?

It is a little tougher when you have little ones to watch over. As a way to provide you peace of mind, find a good friend - make one if you have to, that you can entrust your daughter to if you were to die or become incapacitated. It is just a contingency plan.
I really don't think most of us will still be alive 3 years from now.... and this world will be finished in less than 4 years. The devastation that we are about to see will make people die of heart failure. So, guard your heart. Understand that horrible calamities are about to happen and have strength in knowing God personally. If you do not, this is your first priority as a parent. You must know God personally... not just some make believe game, but more than the reality of eating food, getting sick, working around the house, etc. The Messiah promised to be a friend who will stick closer than a brother. This is the best friend you could hand your daughter off to.
In my home, we are all aware that at any day, one or all of us can be taken. We are not worried about the final events and have an inkling of the kind of things that can happen.... which we will try to avoid. We know here that things of this world are very temporary. Putting my trust in God for things to come... not worrying about things that are not, I can sleep peacefully at night.

I understand your fears and can only offer these tidbits.
One is to cut out any of the habits that could cause the cancer thing. And for dam sure ask your doctor or another doctor that knows you and your family and tell him/her how you feel and get checked on a regular basis.
You did cut out smoking ?
I understand drinking in moderation is ok but heavy is not.
You do have this going for you and that is your gene mix may work for you and also the little one.. One thought that came to mind it may not be a gene thing but an environmental thing?
There may also be a connection between cancer and oil field production I see you have that field south of you. It is not the oil itself, but the effect on ground water supply's and the chemicals used that can get into the water table.
But I suspect the best answer is to get a checkup on a regular basis.

Next time you see a doctor, even if it is one of the yappers visits ....Ask them, everything that I can find says that early detection is the key. Your genes may be on your side in this but who knows unless there is a test for it.
I think checkups on a very regular basis will be the best answer on a subject that there is not any good answers.
I had to ask and bring up the environmental thing because there can/may be links to it and other cancers. Nothing really solid proven but suspected in the disease.
Edited for Zap..

Regarding the nicotine lozenges, I've read (may be on this site) that nicotine itself isn't necessarily unhealthy. There are actually health benefits, but nicotine does affect vitamin C levels. And it's low vitamin c levels that are directly linked to heart disease.
So, like suggested, taking vitamin c and fish oil, daily vitamins, eating healthy.
Zap, stress it's self has a huge affect on health. You can't control any genetic predispositions, we all have them in some way. Don't stress about things you can't control. It's like all the doom we discuss, if you let that stress you out, it's a negative on your life and your health. We prep for these things so we don't have to stress about them.
You've been providing a wonderful loving home for the little one, safe, happy, healthy environment. Don't be scared, be proud of what you have achieved. Keep being the great mom and awesome person you are, and try your best not to sweat over the things that can't be controlled in life.

Relax and just go see your family doctor Zap. Nobody here at GSUS actually knows what the fuck they are talking about regarding cancer or your specific personal medical issues.

I disagree, except for the relax part. Don't just rely on what doctors and the medical community tells you. A lot are in bed with big pharma. They might try to prescribe some sort of drug to help 'relax'. Unnecessary medicines and uneducated people is a big business. Do your own research as well, and that includes researching stuff on the internet too.

My mother and father though separated for the better part of my life both passed last year, one from bone the other from liver cancer.
Alls I can tell is most of what mainstream medical does only aggravates and speeds up the problem. Changing something in your habitual life is probably good too.
But like anything, take it in stride and slowly. Shocking the monkey, or a placated monkey, neither are beneficial.

Zap,
There are plenty of things you could be doing right now to make you more healthy. Balanced diet, cut out the junk food, try to only take "natural" type pills, as in herbs, as most supplements are made in a lab by big pharma. As others said stress can do more damage to your being than anything else. Learn how to do deep breathing and doo it! Here is a good book to read... It gives several cancer options, some things you can do to prevent cancer.
CANCER STEP OUTSIDE THE BOX (http://cancerstepoutsidethebox.com/)

My mom and dad died of lung cancer, my brother, uncle and grandma died of colon cancer plus several more family members died of cancer. I hope that I have done enough detoxing via fasting to get the bug out of me@ Even though with todays toxins you have to constantly detox to remove it all. If you did not know, when you fast for periods of time it eats the sick and diseased cells in the body first. Doctors are taught that it eats your muscle first, which just is not true...
If you are still on the Nicotine patch and want to get off, you can try acupuncture. With 3 visits in one week, you will loose your craving and be free. Cost about 150.00.
Your tubes in the ears were probably from allergies, which cause inflammation in the body, get an allergy test done and stop eating those foods. Inflammation makes for a sick body.
Blessings.....

I don't do junk food at all no chips, pretzels, candy, cookie, sugar of any kind not even honey, My diet consists mostly of egg whites, eggs, veggies, meat, chicken, beef, cheese, beans, potatoes, soup that I make. no lunch meat, occasionally a piece of bread but very seldom, I will get a egg mcmuffin maybe once a month, I have started back on green tea and ginger tea which are supposed to be big cancer fighters, I was just hoping to find more natural stuff to keep me healthy. Started taking the fish oil again and emergen-c to help support the immune system. I guess thats all I can do other then, you have to know your body up oneside and down the other,
Hitcher I wouldn't take anything (pills) to relax me anyhow, I don't trust Dr.s to much.
And how much do genes have to do with cancer? or is it lifestyle?

Don't forget some dark chocolate, I swear by it. :)
Several studies on the effects of cancer and chocolate have been done. But more is needed. Here are a few of note:
Researchers at Georgetown University (http://beforeitsnews.com/r2/?url=http://explore.georgetown.edu/news/?ID=3002&PageTemplateID=295) found pentameric procyanidin (found in chocolate) was able to deactivate certain proteins in the body, stopping the production of new tumor cells.
A study published in Molecular Nutrition & Food Research (http://beforeitsnews.com/r2/?url=http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/mnfr.201100363/abstract)detailed how rats fed a diet rich in cocoa had a “significantly” reduced number of markers for colon cancer.
Similar to the Georgetown study, another at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center found a (http://beforeitsnews.com/r2/?url=http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15827326) proanthocyanidin was able to reduce the proteins in breast cancer cells that would promote tumor growth.

It's both genes and lifestyle. You may get the cancer if your genes and your lifestyle predisposes you to a particular cancer. If you don't have the genes AND the lifestyle (both are required), you would most likely not get cancer. One thing that Dogman said earlier struck me. That oil was pumped in the area of your family and that some of the hydrocarbons may have found its way to the watertable... Because those chemicals could really kick start cancers... Apart from that diet wise I think you are doing fine...

Zap- my family history is similar. Father had esophogeal cancer. They burned it out with radiation and he died of starvation.
One brother & I have Barretts Syndrome... precursor burns at base of esophagus. When I realized what the pain was a couple years ago (and I thought I would not make it through the year) I began to manage it. It was brought on by eating chocolates... especially M&Ms... something in the Hershey chocolate that really irritates my stomach. Other chocolates are not so bad.
This past few weeks I had a sinus infection. I dosed with z-pack... and then found a deer tick lodged on my arm with lyme signs... so I started dosing doxy. Anyway... while fighting the sinus thing, I used oregano oil to stop the post nasal drip coughing. The oregano oil is like putting diesel fuel on the tongue. But it does not hurt the esophagus. In fact, I now feel completely settled there as if I never had a problem.
You might go a few days using oregano oil - and it is a good mouth wash too. I feel like my mouth was completely washed by the stuff. It is hard to take but the results are good.
