I heard on the Jeff Rense program Tim Rifat and Jeff talking about dealing with Ebola with O3 (Ozone.) What do you guys think?

Ozone in water is called peroxide. The body uses vitamin C to create peroxide. It is not the vitamin C that is effective in fighting pathogens but the derivative peroxide.

I have heard of peroxide being injected by IV into the blood directly in the case where there is a lung infection or lungs that are filled with tar from years of cigarette smoking. The peroxide hits the lungs and foams and the bubbles transport the tar material to the throat.

Ozone is great for sterilizing things. But its power is a double-edged sword: it also kills human cells. I refuse to have an ozone generator of any kind in our home. So many air purifiers have them, but they induce asthma, or worse, in most people. I don't have the knowledge to know if there is a "safe level" of exposure to human tissues to say yes. I do know that oxidizers in general are good for killing nasties. H202 among the best, as well. And H202 naturally occurs in human blood, but at very low-levels. But as with ozone, any oxidizer is going to cause damage, too.

I'm always leery of someone simultaneously touting the "benefits" of such a product in a purportedly objective manner, and selling it at the same time.
