There is a strong possibility that these videos may be soon erased from Video and the above referenced article so watch them now. YouTube has already banned and deleted these two videos.

This information is extremely important, not only from the standpoint of the risks of taking cholesterol lowering drugs such as Lipitor, Crestor and Zocor, but to understanding the unscientific practices that may be involved in pharmaceutical drug trials / studies.

Pass this on to others and do it soon because this may disapear from the Internet any moment. Lately, when YouTube will not post a video, Vimeo soon follows suit and will not post the video.

Here are two pro and con videos related to the issue that this two-part video brings forward, that is, the issue of whether "saturated fats" are really bad for your heart and arteries.

This one is pro vegetarian, no dairy or meat, Dr. Michael Klaper, M.D. who will be a speaker at at huge vegetarian conference in California coming up very soon. Dr. Klaper is also holding his own conference in May at Sedona Arizona. I became interested Dr. Klaper because of his YT video on "leaky gut" but I soon learned that he is very "new agey - woo woo" and is very strongly pro pure vegan with no ova lacto stuff at all in the diet. The two part video of this thread kind of indicates Dr. Klaper's data may be misconstrued and that milk and dairy may not be that bad for a person.

This also relates to the thread drift subject in my post in this same forum today about my searching for a milky type drink to substitute for milk. My desire for that has nothing to do with this saturated fat debate but has to do with my trying to improve my small intestine digestion and to stop mucous and leaky gut problems.

As far as milk is concerned, it does seem best to get raw milk if you are going to drink it, but in many states, including mine, it is not possible to buy raw milk at a local farmers market. I may have to drive two or three hours to a "licenced dairy" farm that sells directly to customers who go to their farm. And licensed dairy does not mean the cows are grass fed or pastured or the quality of their feed and the grass is high quality.

This ALL is about the VERY BIG DEBATE in the health arena that is going on right now.

There are saturated fats like from coconut oil and red palm oil that are supposedly full of health benefits. Here is an article about red palm oil versus coconut oil. (Nutiva brand of red palm oil is best best I can tell.)

Why You Should Give Red Palm Oil a Try

I was interested in researching saturated tropical fruit like coconut oil and red palm oil items because they are supposedly good for your immune system, a problem I have but not fully diagnosed yet.

These saturated fats from tropical fruits are high in antioxidants are a million times better for cooking that vegetable oils in grocery stores. Also both these fats can stand very high cooking temperatures so can fry things in them. The palm oil on organic non gmo popcorn is very good tasting snack.

Then there is the omega 3s versus the too high omega 6 oils in American diet that is a related issue. Good amount of omega 3s, salmon, cold fishies oil etc..also flax, cut down on inflammation in the body which is closely related to mysteriaous often undiagnosible "autoimmune disease." Won't get in to that too much here, maybe for another thread.

Thing is the subject of this 2 part video has to do with a very big part of the health of most people in Western countries today and we need to be aware of it.
