Let me ask you, if the West doesn't want those refugees or doesn't want them to die in the sea, why doesn't it stop the sanction on Syrian people that already cost Syria $143 billion dollars?

If it is not the West's agenda, why it doesn't help those Syrians to stay by supporting the Syrian army to get rid of the terrorists and make Syria safe again? Why they don't help to rebuild the destroyed houses of the people with the money that they spend on refugees? They took away the people who can rebuild this country. They want to break Syria and the Syrian people. They want to steal Syrian doctors and their best students on one hand - this will cause a "brain drain." On the other hand, multinationals want cheap labourers so they can lower the wages.

We lost 100 southern soldiers fighting against extremists 'til now. I don't hear the West crying on them. Those who gave their souls to defend a nation, leaving behind them proud families, deserve to be helped. On the other side, they cry on a person died trying to run away and leave their country. Many of them are jihadists and even more, they are paid thousands of Euros. Who are this?

Let me tell you, that the money a family of 5 persons will pay to reach Europe is enough to buy a house in a safe area in Syria, and start a new job, a small job, and live good. They are not refugees, they are economically-motivated immigrants. After 5 years of war, our navy is still fulfilling its international duties. Our coast is well-guarded and not a single boat with immigrants leaves from here (from there). Another trend those days, is to take christians out of Syria, emptying one of the first christians' land from christians. What we have today in Syria is similar to what you had in Serbia before. They target our identity, our unity, and our sovereignty.

I want to underline that the Syrian nation and the Serbian nation were always friends. We have big and respected orthodox community. Syria didn't recognise in the ____ of Kosovo and we have many natural enemies. You should know that as you fight against politicians will promote a new world order, US interests, and mass immigration. At the same time you are saving many people's lives and their future. We are more than connected. Same Albanian terrorists that were fighting in Kosovo are today killing civilians in Syria - and this is allowed by the same corrupted politicians in the USA, their allies in EU, and their followers here in Serbia. And be aware that the wave of immigration will return back to Serbia one day.

Dear friends, all I ask you today, is to stand by us as a people, defending you in the same time as we defend ourselves. Stand by our army by our right cause, because if we lost this war, jihadists want to stop in Syria.

I only saw shotguns in that video, no rifles, and some appeared to be either pump or hunting style semi-auto without the barrel attached and some definitely appeared to be a variant of the MKA 1919 shotgun made in Turkey but with a tube mag and not a box mag. None of the boxes I saw appeared to be boxes or cases of ammo, too large. Generally you don't see cases of shotgun ammo larger than 250 rounds, it's a pretty standard thing due to the weight.

Anyone showing up on the two-way range with a shotgun vs. the competition (meaning the armed forces or police of a country) having even the anemic .223 is going to find themselves on the wrong end of a turkey shoot.

Exclusive: Russian troops join combat in Syria - sources
In an exclusive report, Reuters has detailed the following development in the ongoing Syrian crisis:

“Russian forces have begun participating in military operations in Syria in support of government troops, three Lebanese sources familiar with the political and military situation there said on Wednesday.

The sources, speaking to Reuters on condition they not be identified, gave the most forthright account yet from the region of what the United States fears is a deepening Russian military role in Syria’s civil war, though one of the Lebanese sources said the number of Russians involved so far was small.

U.S. officials said Russia sent two tank landing ships and additional cargo aircraft to Syria in the past day or so and deployed a small number of naval infantry forces.

The U.S. officials, who also spoke on condition of anonymity, said the intent of Russia’s military moves in Syria was unclear. One suggested the focus may be on preparing an airfield near the port city of Latakia, a stronghold of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

With Iran racing towards obtaining a nuclear weapon and threatening America and Israel on a daily basis with annihilation, it has been the assumption of many that World War III would start in the Middle East.

However, perhaps we’ve been looking in the wrong place. Although the “refugee” crisis in Europe is a consequence of turmoil in the Middle East, it may well be Europe where the flash point comes.

As the BBC reports, today European Union interior ministers have approved a controversial plan to relocate 120,000 migrants across the continent over the next two years.

It will see migrants moved from Italy, Greece and Hungary to other EU countries.

However, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary voted against accepting mandatory quotas.

The EU ministers were voting on a plan to apportion 120,000 refugees – but that’s still only a fraction of refugees flowing into Europe. The UN says close to 480,000 migrants have arrived in Europe by sea this year, and are now reaching European shores at a rate of nearly 6,000 a day. EACH DAY!

The assumption has been that Syrians have been fleeing their war-torn country, facing death if they remain.

But according to the Daily Mail, “only one in every five migrants claiming asylum in Europe is from Syria.

The figures from Eurostat, the EU’s official statistical agency, show that migration from April to June was running at double the level of the same period in 2014.

Half a million migrants have arrived in Europe so far this year, with 156,000 coming in August alone.”

The New York Times says “representatives from countries that favor the plan could decide to pass the measure by a majority vote later on Tuesday. But doing so would risk imposing an unworkable system on countries that have balked at accepting quotas of migrants. Putting in place the system without broad agreement would also exacerbate the disharmony in Europe that has already led to the reintroduction of border controls by some countries.”

The BBC says “Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico said he would not implement the quotas as long as he was in office.

Czech Interior Minister Milan Chovanec tweeted: “Very soon we will realise the emperor has no clothes. Today was a defeat for common sense.”

“One of the most intransigent countries in the migration crisis has been Hungary, which has become a front line for migrants seeking asylum elsewhere, like Germany. The government in Budapest has already built a razor-wire fence along its border with Serbia, is bolstering its border along Croatia and has granted its army extra powers to deal with migrants, including allowing the use of tear gas, rubber bullets and other weapons, provided no lethal force is used.”

Yeah, for now.

I fear this is a tinderbox just waiting to explode. Between rioting “refugees” and growing animosity between EU member states, we could be witnessing a perfect storm brewing.

Don’t think battle lines won’t be drawn between those nations who will accept more refugees and those who will not. And don’t think all those “refugees” are just looking for a better life either.

Last week Europe saw one of its worst crises in decades. Tens of thousands of migrants entered the European Union via Hungary, demanding passage to their hoped-for final destination, Germany.
While the media focuses on the human tragedy of so many people uprooted and traveling in dangerous circumstances, there is very little attention given to the events that led them to leave their countries. Certainly we all feel for the displaced people, especially the children, but let's not forget that this is a man-made crisis and it is a government-made crisis.
The reason so many are fleeing places like Syria, Libya, Afghanistan and Iraq is that US and European interventionist foreign policy has left these countries destabilized with no hopes of economic recovery. This mass migration from the Middle East and beyond is a direct result of the neocon foreign policy of regime change, invasion and pushing "democracy" at the barrel of a gun.
Even when they successfully change the regime, as in Iraq, what is left behind is an almost uninhabitable country. It reminds me of the saying attributed to a US major in the Vietnam War, discussing the bombing of Ben Tre: "It became necessary to destroy the town in order to save it."
The Europeans share a good deal of blame as well. France and the UK were enthusiastic supporters of the attack on Libya and they were early backers of the "Assad must go" policy. Assad may not be a nice guy, but the forces that have been unleashed to overthrow him seem to be much worse and far more dangerous. No wonder people are so desperate to leave Syria.
Most of us have seen the heartbreaking photo of the young Syrian boy lying drowned on a Turkish beach. While the interventionists are exploiting this tragedy to call for direct US attacks on the Syrian government, in fact the little boy was from a Kurdish family fleeing ISIS in Kobane. And as we know there was no ISIS in either Iraq or Syria before the 2003 US invasion of Iraq.
As often happens when there is blowback from bad foreign policy, the same people who created the problem think they have a right to tell us how to fix it – while never admitting their fault in the first place.
Thus we see the disgraced General David Petraeus in the news last week offering his solution to the problem in Syria: make an alliance with al-Qaeda against ISIS! Petraeus was head of the CIA (http://www.thedailybell.com/definitions/params/id/2401/) when the US launched its covert regime-change policy in Syria, and he was in charge of the "surge" in Iraq that contributed to the creation of al-Qaeda and ISIS in Iraq and Syria. The idea that the US can salvage its disastrous Syria policy by making an alliance with al-Qaeda is horrific. Does anyone think the refugee problem in Syria will not be worse if either al-Qaeda or ISIS takes over the country?
Here is the real solution to the refugee problem: stop meddling in the affairs of other countries. Embrace the prosperity that comes with a peaceful foreign policy, not the poverty that goes with running an empire. End the Empire!

Hello Jeff - I just saw the video and read the email sent by a female doctor in Germany. Now you KNOW WHY THE CDC PLANES ARE FLYING BACK AND FORTH between Europe and the US. The illegals Muslim invaders are filled with diseases and are deliberately spreading them.

I am outraged by the actions of these millions of bums who profess Islam is a religion of peace. Ha. They spit in the health care staff members faces, they send doctors and nurses to ICU by stabbing them and beating them when they don't like what the doctor has to say. They want everything for free. They are demanding money and free homes and food and schools and health care for LIFE.

They abandon their children at pharmacies when asked to pay for the children's drugs. So, I guess Islam is a religion that does not have family values or family loyalties.

Jeff, I think Germany is stuck, those invaders are never going to leave Europe even if Syria becomes a free democratic country. They will have to be forcibly ejected if Europe is to have a chance of surviving.

Islam, a religion where the participants don't like themselves much less other people. Germany should tear down all Masques and forbid the Muslim religion and maybe that will send the message to the hordes of invaders and send them packing. They i.e. Germany, better act now and quickly or the invaders will remain and become a death cancer of Germany, its heritage and its culture.

JUAN LACAZE, Uruguay (AP) — When Uruguay announced last year that it would be taking in five families fleeing Syria's devastating civil war, residents of this small town pulled together and lobbied to host one.

Then in November, locals welcomed a newly arrived Merhi Alshebli, his wife and their 15 children with food and seeds to plant vegetables. People in Juan Lacaze, a coastal city of fishermen and paper factory workers in southwestern Uruguay, wanted to do their part to help a country where more than 200,000 have been killed in the fighting.
But after months of the Syrians' complaints about their living conditions and demands to be sent to another country, many Uruguayans in this town and elsewhere have come to see the refugees more as rude, ungrateful guests. This month the 51-year-old Alshebli shocked locals by dousing himself in gasoline in protest, furthering Uruguayans' indignation and sense that this South American nation's humanitarian gesture has gone off the rails.
"I'm outraged," said Monica Benitez, who works at a shoe store in Juan Lacaze's tiny downtown. "What they are doing is offensive."
The Syrians' discontent is playing out as hundreds of thousands of their compatriots are risking their lives to migrate to Europe and world leaders from German Chancellor Angela Merkel to Pope Francis have urged nations to open their doors to the flood. The administration of U.S. President Barack Obama has pledged to take in 10,000 Syrians over the next year.
Uruguay's attempt to help by sheltering 42 refugees — a largely symbolic gesture given that over 4 million Syrians have fled since civil war broke out in 2011 — appears to be backfiring, just as earlier this year the ups and downs of six former Guantanamo Bay detainees taken in by the country hogged headlines.
Like the ex-detainees, the refugee families complain that life in Uruguay is expensive and authorities aren't doing enough to support them. But unlike the former prisoners, who refused jobs offered to them, the adult Syrians have worked.

The Syrians' biggest beef is that they can't make ends meet even though the government provides housing and gives each family a monthly stipend. Both government officials and the families have declined to say how much that is.
"I like Uruguay. I like Uruguayan families. My young children all go to school here," Alshebli said in halting Spanish, standing in the living room of his sparsely furnished, multi-room home on the outskirts of Juan Lacaze. "But food is very expensive. How can I feed 15 children?"
He showed The Associated Press a two-month winter electricity bill totaling $475 and said everyone in the family who is able works. For example his 19-year-old daughter Nada sells Arab food downtown and recently worked in an assisted living facility, but earned just $68 in a little under a month there.
Alshebli also complained that the government won't let him farm beyond the modest vegetable garden the family has planted.
"No sheep. No cows. No land," said Alshebli, recounting what he said officials told him.
Political analyst Daniel Chasquetti said the government underestimated cultural differences between Uruguay and the refugees' homeland and failed to take into account their limited job skills.

"And it's not like Uruguay is a country bursting with opportunities," Chasquetti said.
The economy of this nation of 3.3 million people is largely based on agricultural and textile exports, and about 40 percent of workers earn around $500 a month, according to a leading union.
In August one of the Syrian families tried to travel to Serbia, only to be detained 23 days at the airport in Istanbul because they didn't have the right documents. Ultimately they returned to Uruguay.
The refugees do not have Syrian passports and cannot get Uruguayan ones because they are not citizens. The government has given them national ID cards, but they're insufficient to cross many of the world's frontiers and Uruguay says it can't force other countries to accept the documents.
Their frustration at a boiling point, the Syrians protested for several days last month in front of the Uruguayan presidency to demand help getting to another country.
Then came the incident at Alshebli's home on Oct. 6, when he poured gasoline over himself in protest in the presence of officials from Uruguay's Human Rights Secretariat. According to a statement from the agency, he did so after being told that Uruguay doesn't have the authority to issue him a visa for another country.

It's unclear whether Alshebli intended to light himself on fire or simply scare the officials, who later filed a police complaint. Alshebli declined to discuss the incident, and the head of the rights body did not respond to requests for comment.
One of Alshebli's sons, 21-year-old Ibrahim, said his father simply lost his temper and didn't mean any harm. The elder Alshebli was briefly detained and taken to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
Self-immolation has special symbolism today in the Middle East. A major catalyst for the Arab Spring, which began in 2011 in Tunisia, was a poor and frustrated fruit vendor who set himself on fire.
But many Uruguayans were appalled.
Lourdes Schneck, who serves the Uruguayan specialty of fried pies in downtown, said she wasn't sure whether to be angry with her government or the Syrians.
"I get the feeling they thought they were coming to a different class of country, with more wealth," said Schneck, who periodically hires one of Alshebli's teenage sons, 15-year-old Mohammed.
Jennyfer Lopez, a student in Juan Lacaze, thinks they never should have been taken in.
"Uruguay isn't in a financial position to be receiving refugees," she said, echoing a common criticism. "It was obvious they wouldn't be comfortable here."
Former President Jose Mujica, who left office in March, was the driving force behind inviting the Syrians and the ex-Guantanamo prisoners. Mujica, who was jailed for 13 years during the country's dictatorship, took pride in opening Uruguay's doors to people in need.
His successor, Tabare Vazquez, has shown much less enthusiasm. In his inaugural speech, Vazquez said a "profound analysis" was necessary before Uruguay accommodated more Syrian refugees.
A second group of 72 refugees was supposed to come in February but never did. Foreign Minister Rodolfo Nin Novoa has insisted they'll arrive later this year.

Free-Market Analysis: Millions of people are angry and depressed or just, plain dead. Political systems are convulsed. Europe trembles on the edge of civil war or worse. But in this just-posted article at Fortune Magazine, the immigration crisis is a teachable moment.
The wonkery of this article is truly eye opening. Since "a large chunk of the population embraces a view contrary to the overwhelming verdict of empirical evidence ... understanding one will help us better understand the other."
What a coolly intellectual statement that is. Of course, the article was written by a graduate student and then picked up by Fortune editors apparently impressed by it – so perhaps one ought to forgive the distancing tone.
On the other hand, European populations, let alone the migratory streams coursing through the continent, are not lab rats. What is taking place is neither theoretical nor palatable.
But this article is not about emotion. It is instead what we call a "twofer" where a commentator takes two socio-political memes (http://www.thedailybell.com/definitions/params/id/654/) and then uses current events to show that the memes in question are accurate.
In this case, the first meme has to do with positives of immigration. Clinically speaking, immigration is a good thing, we learn. Indeed, the World Bank says so, as the article informs us.
A recent report published by the World Bank, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD (http://www.thedailybell.com/definitions/params/id/3457/)), and the UN's International Labor Organization concludes that "in most countries, migrants pay more in taxes and social contributions than they receive."
Demographic trends show that many countries in the EU are aging too fast to maintain a healthy economy and that an influx of relatively young and skilled workers could alleviate this problem.
The first elite meme has now been presented. Immigration is good for you. Given that this is so, who better to organize immigration than Europe's enlightened leaders? They are ... leaders, after all. They know what is right and proper.
Of course, this is technocratic wonkery. We wrote about this (http://www.thedailybell.com/news-analysis/36636/How-the-Internet-Is-Undermining-Global-Technocracy/) just yesterday. You can see the article here. The idea is that the "leadership" merely by virtue of existing knows best. Studies show that countries prosper when immigrants arrive. And thus ... the more immigrants the better.
This analysis leaves out the salient fact that there are no countries, only cultures. And the European cultures are extremely strong and tribal and go back thousands of years.
No matter! The immigrants are arriving and it is GOOD that they arrive. In fact, the article is troubled by signs of resistance. "Despite the encouraging evidence, why does widespread opposition against the influx of refugees and their right to asylum persist?" the article asks with charming candor.
And the answer: "Climate change and human psychology"!
You see? A twofer. Climate change is yet another significant meme and the article is determined to accomplish the feat of linking the argument over weather to European immigration chaos.
"Study after study has revealed a link between the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and the increase in the average global temperature," the article informs us. "Yet many people continue to insist that the climate is not in fact changing. Why?"
The answer, we learn is "human psychology." In particular, "intertemporal choice" – a "trade-off between a smaller gain in the present and a larger gain in the long term." Bottom line: "When the current situation is sufficiently satisfying, it is difficult to motivate people to change."
And yes, that's why we need leaders. To force us to face and make difficult choices.
One person who would surely disagree with this view is paleo-conservative Patrick Buchanan (http://www.thedailybell.com/definitions/params/id/2938/). He recently penned a column (http://buchanan.org/blog/can-europe-survive-this-invasion-124254) entitled, "Can Europe Survive This Invasion?"
Here's an excerpt:
Europe is undergoing the greatest mass migration since World War II, when 14 million Germans were driven out of Prussia and eastern Germany and Central and Eastern Europe. That mass migration halted after two years. But no end is in sight to the migrations from Africa and the Middle East.
... Why should they not come? Why should Arabs and Africans not flee the tyranny, terror, poverty and war that are their lot to come to Europe, live the good life, and have life's necessities provided for their families by the munificent welfare states of northern Europe? And what is to stop them?
Patrick Buchanan's argument is very much a cultural one. He is worried about the vitiation of Europe's tribes. Put aside the larger implications of this argument and you are left with a simple question: "Why can't people be left alone?"
Why must Europe's ancient tribes be inundated by Middle Eastern tribes? Why must they be made miserable by a migratory invasion they neither asked for nor intend to cooperate with?
And yet ... perhaps it is no accident that the US's serial wars are now driving Middle Easterners and Africans into Europe. Is it "conspiratorial" to suggest that this abrupt migration has been assisted by certain powerful forces?
It is always the same mechanism, what we call directed history (http://www.thedailybell.com/definitions/params/id/28330/). And yet, if so, it remains hidden because it is nearly impossible to conceive of the grand scale on which all this might work.
The idea that entire economies of the world's greatest nations can ascend or descend in order to facilitate a planned global order is certainly beyond most rational comprehension.
Yet in the past decade Western economies have descended drastically and the BRICs have ascended. There has been a general evening out of currencies and economic power. You need such parity in order to pursue a globalist vision – though perhaps, yes, it is merely coincidence.
But if it is not, then it is sensible to vitiate culture. Long ago, we pointed out that Europe's tribes were content to be bribed to participate in the European Union but that when the money ran out, the tribes' reasonableness would recede. And that is exactly what has happened.
The solution, as Brussels may see it, is simple. Reduce tribal homogeneity as fast as possible. In the US there is similar activity, coincidentally or not. "Illegal immigrants" are pouring through southwestern borders just as Middle Eastern tribes are pouring through eastern European ones.
Events are moving fast. It is as if those orchestrating these vast changes – if indeed they are – have decided there is no time to lose.

Fire broke out in the 'Jungle' refugee camp near Calais last night - just hours after the terror attacks in Paris.

At around 11pm volunteers helping migrants and refugees living in the northern French port shared pictures and video on social media.

One aid worker told Mirror Online that around 40 shelters were destroyed when an 'absolutely massive' fire broke out in a Sudanese area.

One video shows emergency service vehicles arriving at the camp, which houses around 6,000 migrants - mainly young men from Syria and North Africa.

A hospital in Sigmaringen, Germany has been forced to hire security guards after numerous incidents in which migrants physically attacked nurses while they were receiving free healthcare.

Schwäbische.de reports that the SRH Hospital in Sigmaringen took the precaution after 40 attacks on nurses in September alone, with nursing manager Silvia Stärk revealing that staff were “totally distressed” by the onslaught of verbal and physical abuse.

Stärk said that refugees were biting and spitting at nurses, with drunk migrants behaving particularly aggressively towards female nurses during night time hours.’

The ruling coalition of the Conservative Party and the smaller Progress Party won the backing of the centrist Liberals and the Christian Democrats, the four parties announced at a joint news conference.
The estimated spending from the country's sovereign wealth fund remained unchanged at 195.2 billion Norwegian crowns ($22.53 billion) compared with the government's proposal last month, they added.
A tax on air fares, estimated to bring in 1.1 billion Norwegian crowns, was among the new measures, as was a hike in electricity taxes of about 890 million crowns, budget documents showed.
The deal also required state owned companies, including power company Statkraft and rail operator NSB, to pay extra dividends to help fund public spending.
The government's original budget plan, published on Oct. 7, was amended on Oct. 30 to take into account the rise in asylum applications, and has since been the subject of negotiations to agree a final deal.
The Nordic country of 5.2 million people expects the number of Syrians, Afghans and others seeking refuge from conflicts to more than tripple this year to a record 35,000 as Europe grapples with its biggest migrant crisis since World War Two.
Next year, the government expects 30,000-50,000 asylum applications.

BERLIN, Nov 23 (Reuters) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel faced pressure from her own conservatives on Monday to change course on her open-door refugee policy after an affront by the leader of her Bavarian allies drove up tensions in her ruling coalition.
Roughly a million refugees and migrants fleeing war and deprivation in the Middle East, Africa and Asia are expected to arrive in Germany this year alone - the majority of those reaching Europe - and local authorities are struggling to cope.
Horst Seehofer, the leader of the Bavarian sister party to Merkel's conservatives, embarrassed the chancellor by openly criticising her on Friday for failing to put a formal cap on the number of refugees entering Germany.
Seehofer's Christian Social Union (CSU) is the Bavarian sister party of Merkel's Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Together they form "The Union" but on refugee policy they have been anything but united.
Those tensions began spreading to the CDU on Monday, with senior officials warning that the government must change tack.
"Everyone in the Union knows that we can't hold out many more weeks if every day up to 10,000 refugees and migrants come into the country," Jens Spahn, a member of the CDU party executive, told the Passauer Neuen Presse newspaper.
Senior CDU member Reiner Haseloff, premier of the eastern state of Saxony-Anhalt, joined Seehofer's call to limit numbers of refugees, saying Berlin and the federal states should jointly agree on a "formal cap that takes our capacity into account".
"We then have to actively communicate this number to the refugee countries and tell them if need be: More is not possible," Haseloff told Handelsblatt newspaper in an interview to be published on Tuesday.
Saxony-Anhalt is among the three states holding elections in March. Baden-Wuerttemberg and Rhineland Palatinate also vote. The state elections could prove decisive in determining whether Merkel runs for a fourth term in 2017 or hands the baton to someone else after a 12-year run as chancellor.
Another senior official from the CDU said privately that if Merkel did not manage to reduce the number of refugee arrivals before her party's congress in early December, she could expect a lukewarm reception.
Still, Merkel was greeted by fellow lawmakers with standing ovations lasting several minutes at a meeting of the conservative parliamentary group, participants said.
The refugee influx shows no immediate sign of waning. A spokesman for Germany's federal police said almost 180,000 refugees had entered the country - Europe's biggest and most vibrant economy - since the beginning of November.
Divisions between Merkel's conservatives and the centre-left Social Democrats (SPD) over benefits for refugees prompted coalition leaders to cancel a special cabinet meeting planned for Monday at which they had hoped to agree measures to speed up the processing of asylum seekers.

IDOMENI, Greece, Nov 23 (Reuters) - Moroccans, Iranians and Pakistanis on Greece's northern border with Macedonia blocked rail traffic and demanded passage to western Europe on Monday, stranded by a policy of filtering migrants in the Balkans that has raised human rights concerns.
One Iranian man, declaring a hunger strike, stripped to the waist, sewed his lips together with nylon and sat down in front of lines of Macedonian riot police.
Asked by Reuters where he wanted to go, the man, a 34-year-old electrical engineer named Hamid, said: "To any free country in the world. I cannot go back. I will be hanged."
Hundreds of thousands of migrants, many of them Syrians fleeing war, have made the trek across the Balkan peninsula having arrived by boat and dinghy to Greece from Turkey, heading for the more affluent countries of northern and western Europe, mainly Germany and Sweden.
Last week, however, Slovenia, a member of Europe's Schengen zone of passport-free travel, declared it would only grant passage to those fleeing conflict in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, and that all others deemed "economic migrants" would be sent back.
That prompted others on the route -- Croatia, Serbia and Macedonia -- to do the same, leaving growing numbers stranded in tents and around camp fires on Balkan borders with winter approaching.
Rights groups have questioned the policy, warning asylum should be granted on merit, not on the basis of nationality.
"To classify a whole nation as economic migrants is not a principle recognised in international law," said Rados Djurovic, director of the Belgrade-based Asylum Protection Centre. "We risk violating human rights and asylum law," he told Serbian state television.
The new measure coincides with rising concern, particularly on the political right in Europe, over the security risk of the chaotic and often unchecked flow of humanity into Europe in the aftermath of the Nov. 13 attacks in Paris by Islamist militants in which 130 people died.
It has emerged that two suicide bombers involved in the attacks took the same trail, arriving by boat in Greece and then travelling north across the Balkans. Most of the attackers, however, were citizens of France or Belgium.
On the Macedonian-Greek border, crowds of Moroccans, Iranians and others blocked the railway line running between the two countries, halting at least one train that tried to cross, a Reuters photographer said.
A group of Bangladeshis had stripped to the waist and written slogans on their chests in red paint. "Shoot us, we never go back," read one. "Shoot us or save us," read another.

The Charlie Hebdo attacks marked a turning point in the way in which Europe’s population looks at the rise and threat of Islamist terrorism and from a faraway problem located in the Middle East and primarily targeting and killing hapless Muslims, the danger suddenly became clear and dangerous and very very real. Now the West’s meddling in the Middle East and its mobilization of Islam as a weapon against the threat of Communism has been reversed. France as a Primary Target for BlowbackThe “spectacular attack on the office of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo and the double hostage crisis” has now been outdone by a whole series of attacks in the city of Paris, even directly affecting the figure of the French President François Hollande. The BBC reports that “[e]ighty people were reported killed after gunmen burst into the Bataclan concert hall and took dozens hostage”, and in response the French Security Forces stormed the concert hall. At the same time, five other sites in the French capital were also targeted by the terrorists. The terrorists attacked the Stade de France by means of two suicide missions and a separate bombing. At this venue France played Germany in a football friendly, attended by the French President himself accompanied by the German foreign minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier. In this way, the terrorists made the attack very personal indeed, as Hollande as recently as late September authorised French cooperation with the U.S. in its air campaign against the Caliph and his IS. At that stage, the French President publicly stated that “France struck in Syria this morning an Islamic State training camp which threatened the security of our country”. And, in this way, one could argue that Hollande all but invited the terrorists to strike at the heart of the French nation. The other locations that were struck by the terrorists were bars and restaurants. In total, more that 120 people ended up dead, while eight terrorists have in turn been killed, seven of them actually detonating their own suicide belts. Furthermore, about 200 individuals have been wounded, with eighty in a critical condition. The French President has since come out in a fighting mood, telling the press that “[w]e are going to lead a war which will be pitiless. Because when terrorists are capable of committing such atrocities they must be certain that they are facing a determined France, a united France, a France that is together and does not let itself be moved, even if today we express infinite sorrow”. In fact, Hollande has been acting as a hawk for many years now, as France stood on the verge of a military intervention in Syria as long ago as 2013. Back then, U.S. President Barack Obama’s famous remarks regarding the use of chemical weapons and red lines had primed the French to become an imminent military actor in Syria. The subsequent peaceful resolution of the chemical weapons’ issue as a result of a seemingly offhand remark by Secretary of State John F. Kerry and Sergey Lavrov’s subsequent swift actions thwarted Hollande’s war plans. As a result, the war-hungry Hollande was left wanting, until last September that is. And now, France is actively participating in Obama’s war on ISIL (or ISIS or the IS) and has thus become a legitimate target for a caliphal campaign of terror. As a direct outcome now the French capital is living under a state of emergency for the first time since 2005. And that means that “the authorities [are able] to close public places and impose curfews and restrictions on the movement of traffic and people”, as reported by the BBC. For all intents and purposes, France is now in a state of war with the Islamic State, a seemingly stateless terrorist actor that controls vast swathes of territory in Syria and Iraq where it nevertheless appears to fulfill all the requirements of a functioning state (https://www.rt.com/op-edge/257253-syria-iraq-is-politics).
A Caliphal Reign of Terror The Paris attacks came at the end of the day, when vast crowds of people were congregating in an effort to enjoy themselves and forget the troubles of the working week. On the same day, two other cities were also targeted by the Caliph’s henchmen in a bloody display of their determination to bring about Caliph Ibrahim’s reign of terror, turning Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi into a bearded latter-day version of Robespierre whose own Terror had been proclaimed in September 1792 leading to his own downfall and death on 28 July 1794. In Iraq’s capital Baghdad, a suicide bomber attacked the Al-Ashara al-Mubashareen mosque in the Amil area of the city. This caliphal suicide mission attacked the funeral of a member of the Popular Mobilisation units, a volunteer paramilitary force fighting ISIS backed by Iran. Whereas in Lebanon’s Beirut two motorcycled suicide bombers killed at least 43 people and wounded more than 200 others in the predominantly Shia Burj el-Barajneh area of the city. The area is a Hezbollah stronghold and thus an equally legitimate target for ISIS in its war against aggressors and unbelievers, as Hezbollah has been fighting alongside Assad’s forces against various Islamist terror groups active in Syria. Last October, the Caliph and his IS apparently also targeted “unbelievers” in a twin suicide attack in Ankara (Turkey). These twin blast hit Turkish and Kurdish demonstrators attending a peace rally in the run up to Turkey’s second elections in five months’ time. Pro-Kurdish observers and commentators easily accused Turkey’s Islamic AKP-led government for the attacks, linking them to the deadly suicide attack in the Turkish border town of Suruç last July. The Kurds, meaning the KRG in Northern Iraq and the PYD in northern Syria, supported by the Kurdish PKK active in Turkey, are also enemies of the Caliph and his IS. Some even describe the Kurdish forces as the only effective fighting unit opposing ISIS in the region. And the Kurds’ ideological leanings also turn them into sworn enemies of the Caliph, particularly Syrian as well Turkish Kurds who are self-avowed leftist supporters of the ideas put forward by Murray Bookchin (https://www.rt.com/op-edge/227895-kobani-turkey-kurds-war-isis/).War-on-Kuffar or the Clash of Civilizations Redux

Still western leaders have been at pains over and again to claim that the West is not at war with Islam. France as an active participant in the bombing campaign in Syria was an obvious choice for an initial attack of spectacular proportions. The Reuters news agency claims that the Al-Hayat Media Centre, the IS’ propaganda machine, released a video calling on French Muslims to carry out attacks. Since then the French police have carried out 168 raids across the whole of the country, in an attempt to apprehend key suspects. And the death toll has now also risen to 129. In response to this civilian death toll in the city of Paris, on Sunday night (15 November), President François Hollande has reacted by carrying out bombing raids on the IS stronghold of Raqqa in Syria., arguably leading to a rising number of dead civilian Arabs. In Vienna's Islamic kindergartens, subsidies worth millions were apparently embezzled. The office is investigating a man behind several support teams. The controversy over the Muslim Kitas has taken on a completely different dimension.

“FORMAT” reports that Abdullah P. has controlled kindergarten associations and created strawman reports to gain unwarranted funding. Specifically, there is a suspicion of fraud, misuse of aid and falsification of tax office documents . "The state police commissioned surveys," says Thomas Vecsey, spokesman for the Vienna prosecutor's office, to "FORMAT".

To gain access to the funding, so-called public utility receipts were forged. These confirmations are issued by the tax office for associations. They are a precondition for the disbursement of stimulus funding and other kindergarten subsidies by the City of Vienna. According to FORMAT exclusively, the total estimated damage presently is for an amount in the euro seven-figure range.

Violent attacks on refugees increase in GermanyBy Philipp Frisch
12 December 2015The number of acts of violence against refugees in Germany rose precipitously in 2015, according to media accounts and independent reports published in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, politicians and parties both in and outside the government have engaged in a cynical effort to downplay and legitimise the fascistic elements behind these attacks as “concerned citizens”.
Criminal prosecution authorities have also contributed to this effort. They refuse to recognise politically motivated crimes by right-wingers and prosecute them as such. The most egregious crimes are systematically declared to be mere misdemeanors.
The president of the church organization Diakonie, Ulrich Lilie, spoke to the Zeit newspaper about the “worst wave of racist and right-wing extremist violence in 20 years.” Bernd Wagner, founder of Exit, an anti-fascist organisation that provides counselling for former neo-Nazis, told the Zeit, “Something is brewing that could soon lead to fatalities.”
According to the Zeit, there have already been 222 attacks on refugee lodgings this year. The perpetrators have thrown paving stones and Molotov cocktails, have detonated explosive devices and set fires or flooded lodgings. Ninety-three of the 222 attacks were arson. In all cases, the residents were either injured or were in immediate danger. Sometimes right-wing extremists entered refugee housing under a false pretext and attacked residents.
In an especially egregious case in Massow, in the state of Brandenburg, the perpetrator attacked 35 refugees with pepper spray after participating in a party at local refugee lodgings. According to the state attorney, the man claimed he had nothing against foreigners, only against so-called “economic refugees.”
According to the Federal Interior Ministry, a total of 747 crimes against asylum lodgings have been registered this year—that is, on average, more than two xenophobic crimes per day. This includes vandalism, xenophobic propaganda offenses, hate speech and other violations of the law. According to a report in the news magazine Frontal 21, which based itself on the Interior Ministry statement, the attacks are concentrated in the states of North Rhine-Westphalia (155), Lower Saxony (68), Saxony (66) and Saxony-Anhalt (40).
The actual number of attacks is no doubt much higher. There is a striking contrast between the report in the Zeit, according to which there were 222 attacks on refugee lodgings, and the report from the Interior Ministry, which claims only 120 direct violent attacks took place.
Research performed by North German Broadcasting, West German Broadcasting and the Süddeutsche Zeitung last summer suggests that this whitewashing is systematic. Many crimes reported to the Federal Interior Ministry by the states in 2014 do not appear in its report at all. These discrepancies could be traced back to the results of further investigation, which suggested mere accidents instead of actual crimes. A joint list compiled by the Amadeu Antonio Foundation and the human rights organisation Pro Asyl reports a large number of additional crimes that are not mentioned by the authorities.
The research of Frontal 21 and the Zeit suggests that the authorities investigating right-wing violence systematically downplay and even defend it.
Frontal 21 noted the attacks on asylum lodgings in Tröglitz (in Saxony-Anhalt) and Altena (in North Rhine-Westphalia). The attack in Tröglitz was reported as a serious arson attack in criminal statistics, but not as a politically motivated crime.
In the case of the refugee lodgings in Altena, the perpetrators knew that refugees were staying there when they set the building on fire. The local residents who warmly took in the refugees were indignant. Nevertheless, the attorney general defended the attackers and determined that they were only guilty of arson, not attempted murder. In justification, the authorities told Frontal 21 that the perpetrators “let it be known that they did not want to harm or kill people living on the ground floor.”
In only four of the 222 attacks on refugee lodgings were the perpetrators punished for their crimes. In eight additional cases, charges were brought against the attackers. One of the arsonists in Altena who admitted to his crime is now at large again.
According to a column published in the Süddeutsche Zeitung on Tuesday, eight people who attacked a Turkish food stand in Munich with knives, hammers and baseball bats, injured two people out of obviously right-wing radical motives. They were questioned for the first time four days later, although they had already been identified on the day the attack took place. Prosecutors ignored the fact that the offenders brought a deadly weapon. “Just because someone brings a knife with him doesn’t mean he is attempting to kill someone,” explained the attorney general.
A young anti-fascist, who held a flag in his hand at an anti-Pegida demonstration was judged according to a different standard. The police viewed his flag as a weapon, although he did not use it as one. He was investigated for two months and sentenced to nine months imprisonment with parole, because he had also “stolen” food that had been thrown away.
The fact that many perpetrators who attack refugee lodgings had previously not attracted notice as right-wing extremists is no accident. The deeply biased reporting and the open hate propaganda of numerous media outlets and politicians in government, as well as the behaviour of the investigating authorities, who are deeply enmeshed in the neo-Nazi scene, have sent a signal that has emboldened the most right-wing elements.
The terror attacks in Paris on November 13 came at just the right time for certain sections of the media, which have responded by calling for a crackdown on refugees and the closing of German borders. They claim there are terrorists among the refugees who have come to Germany in order to perpetrate attacks. Since then, it has become clear that almost all the assassins in France were born in the country and had been watched closely by the French authorities long before the attacks.
In die Welt, Mathias Döpfner demanded a “radicalization of the social middle” and designated “the refugee crisis and now the wave of terror in Paris” as a “fire starter for the cultural struggle”. He said that a new immigration law that “consistently deports economic refugees and immigrants coming from [so-called] safe third countries”, and that deports everyone “who ignores the rules of our constitutional state” is part of the defence of “our values”.
Furthermore, leading government politicians have provided grist for the mill of right-wing groupings, such as the self-styled “Patriotic Europeans against the Islamisation of the West” (Pegida), by describing its far-right supporters as “concerned citizens”.
Vice Chancellor and Social Democratic Party President Sigmar Gabriel met with Pegida supporters at the Saxony Centre for Political Education (SLpB ) on January 23. Four days prior to this, Pegida founders Lutz Bachmann and Kathrin Oertel spread right-wing hate at the invitation of SlpB head Frank Richter, who shared the podium with them. At that point, an investigation of Bachmann was already underway because of comments he had made on his Facebook page to the effect that foreigners were “brutes”, “scum” and “filth”.
In his comments to Frontal 21, Gabriel now protests his innocence. In answer to the question whether his visit to the SLpB was, in retrospect, a mistake, he said, “What we see today are open right-wing radicals who have nothing to do with those who met at that time in the Centre for Political Education.” In answer to the objection of the reporter that one could have seen what Pegida stands for, Gabriel replied, “If you knew all that, you are indeed smarter than me...”
In the news magazine report, CDU Interior Minister Thomas de Maizière was asked whether he regretted that he had “shown sympathy for Pegida a year ago”. Once a bastion of European success and center of tourism, the country of Greece has become the harbinger of things to come for the rest of the world’s developed nations.

Not long ago Greeks were enjoying high paid salaries, early retirements, excess cash, and seemingly never ending economic growth.

Today, just a short time after a financial collapse that rocked global financial markets, Europe’s darling has turned into a frightening example of what happens when governments and their people take on more debt than they can ever hope to repay.

The end result is a warning to the rest of us.

Hundreds of people jostled for free vegetables handed out by farmers in a symbolic protest earlier on Wednesday, trampling one man and prompting an outcry over the growing desperation created by economic crisis.

Images of people struggling to seize bags of tomatoes and leeks thrown from a truck dominated television, triggering a bout of soul-searching over the new depths of poverty in the debt-laden country.

“These images make me angry. Angry for a proud people who have no food to eat, who can’t afford to keep warm, who can’t make ends meet,” said Kostas Barkas, a lawmaker from the leftist Syriza party. As the Islamic State has drawn the world's attention with terrorist attacks in France, California and elsewhere, Islamic experts say the militants wants to draw the United States and its allies into a ground war in the Middle East.

"Should that invasion happen, the Islamic State not only would be able to declare its prophecy fulfilled, but could also turn the occurrence into a new recruiting drive at the very moment the terrorist group appears to be losing volunteers," wrote Rukmini Callimachi in a New York Times article. President Obama referred to this prophecy in his speech Sunday night, arguing the United States should pursue a "sustainable victory" involving airstrikes and supporting local forces battling the Islamic State rather than engaging in another ground war in the region.
"I have said it repeatedly: Because of these prophecies, going in on the ground would be the worst trap to fall into," said Jean-Pierre Filiu, a professor of Middle East Studies at Sciences Po in Paris, and the author of Apocalypse in Islam. "They want troops on the ground. Because they have already envisioned it. It's a very powerful and emotional narrative. It gives the potential recruit and the actual fighters the feeling that not only are they part of the elite, they are also part of the final battle."

Joel C. Marco Rubio and Sen. Rick Santorum, who have spoken out about the threat of "apocalyptic Islam."

VIENNA (Reuters) - The wave of refugees flooding into Austria could bolster the country's economic growth if Vienna continues to work on integrating them quickly, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said on Monday.
Hundreds of thousands of migrants, many of them fleeing war and poverty in the Middle East, Afghanistan and elsewhere, have reached Austria since early September, most continuing on into neighboring Germany.
A fraction, however, have stayed -- the IMF said 80,000 to 90,000 asylum applications were expected this year, a number equivalent to about 1 percent of the population, and a similar number was expected next year.
"While still in early stages, measures to integrate refugees are timely and well-targeted," the IMF said in a statement on the conclusion of an official staff visit, which usually happens once a year.
While Austrian politicians and even President Heinz Fischer, whose role is largely ceremonial, have said the country is reaching the limit of what it can manage in terms of immigrants, there has been little public discussion of the economic upside to taking in so many people, many of them young.
"We estimate that the increased immigrant inflows over 2015-20 could lift potential GDP growth by 1/4 of a percentage point by 2020 and reduce net pension and health spending by a similar amount," it said, referring to gross domestic product.
The IMF mission chief for Austria, Nikolay Georgiev, told a news conference the estimate was "a bit conservative". "We also have a scenario with higher employment ratios that could in the best case add another quarter point in five years," he said.
The IMF praised efforts to provide immigrants with language training and setting up systems for skill certifications and apprenticeships. But it said more should be done to ease restrictions on asylum seekers working while their applications are being processed.
It also said affordable housing was "crucial" to ensuring immigrant labor is available in areas where it is needed most.

The IMF, however, also listed the migration crisis as a potential challenge for the economy, and it raised doubts about whether Austria would be able to stay within its 2016 budget.
The country is already relying on an exemption for some of its spending on migrants to stay within European Union deficit rules, and even that projection has been called into question by the European Commission and a body of experts.
The other main risk to Austria's budget plans is a planned reduction in most taxpayers' income tax next year, the IMF said.
"Keeping to these plans, however, is subject to significant risks related to (i) the ability to fully finance the ambitious 2016 personal income tax reform and (ii) uncertainties about the costs associated with the refugee crisis," the IMF said.
"While recent revenue buoyancy will help, it is likely that additional measures will be needed to reach the targeted deficit," it added.
Austria's major banks have improved their capital buffers to protect them against future downturns, but those buffers "remain thin in comparison with peers", the IMF said, adding that the lenders' profitability was recovering slowly.
"The sector remains exposed to political and economic risks in CESEE (central, eastern and southeastern Europe)," the IMF said, also suggesting that the authorities encourage banks to wean customers off their loans denominated in Swiss francs.
"The authorities should continuously assess the adequacy of bank capital requirements and stand ready to tighten them if risks intensify," the IMF said.
Asked to elaborate, Georgiev said current supervision was accurate but constant vigilance would be necessary.
"What we recommend here is that the regulators are basically breathing down the neck of the banks all the time, constantly assessing and reassessing whether the bank capital is enough and if not, acting quickly to ask for more capital," he said.

In an EU press conference on September 3rd, 2015 Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban candidly referred to the current refugee crisis in Europe as “Germany’s problem”. Orban was referring to the fact that refugees amassing at the border of Hungary were heading, for the most part, to Germany. The Hungarian Prime Minister stressed that most of the refugees did not intend to stay in Hungary. Orban has come under criticism for his decision to erect a security fence on the Hungarian/Serbian border in order to stem the flow of migrants entering Hungarian territory illegally.

While most of the European media have portrayed Orban as a xenophobic, far right dictator, the decision to erect a fence was carried out in compliance with EU regulations, which require that all immigrants entering the Shengen zone be registered by the police at the border. Yet, paradoxically, Brussels is criticizing the Hungarian Prime Minister for attempting to comply with EU laws!

One should recall that the German Foreign Ministry spokesman Martin Schaefer has recently labeled the freedom of movement within the EU an “important principle” and one of the greatest achievements of the union.Numerous European experts believe that today’s exodus from the Middle East, North Africa and other war-torn regions has been brewing for a long time, therefore it was perfectly predictable and could have been handled. Yet, nationalists in Europe are taking advantage of the absence of a coordinated response by EU officials in an attempt to get an upper hand in their political struggle. It is, therefore, hardly surprising that refugees themselves are refusing to sign up for being moved to some other place. As of mid-December a total of 184 refugees agreed to be transported to a random European country, out of 160,000 planned by the European Council.Another assault on human liberties and dignity was the agreement adopted on November 29, 2015 by the EU and Turkey. After all, the very composition of the discussions that preceded this agreement raise questions, since EU authorities failed to invite representatives of Jordan and Lebanon — the two states most strongly affected by the exodus of refugees from Iraq and Syria. The EU did only promise Turkey the whooping 3 billion transfer if it manages to reduce the flow of migrants to Europe, while paying no heed to Jordan and Lebanon who have been facing the refugee crisis on their own.In addition, as noted by French experts, after signing the deal with Turkey, the European Union formally resumed the process of its accession to the union. Study: Centuries of Inbreeding Within Muslim Society Has Caused Catastrophic and Irreparable Damage to Gene Pool

Massive inbreeding within the Muslim culture during the last 1.400 years may have done catastrophic damage to their gene pool. The consequences of intermarriage between first cousins often have serious impact on the offspring’s intelligence, sanity, health and on their surroundings

The most famous example of inbreeding is in ancient Egypt, where several Pharaonic dynasties collapsed after a couple of hundred years. In order to keep wealth and power within the family, the Pharaohs often married their own sister or half-sister and after a handful of generations the offspring were mentally and physically unfit to rule. Another historical example is the royal houses of Europe where royal families often married among each other because tradition did not allow them to marry people of non-royal class.

The high amount of mentally retarded and handicapped royalties throughout European history shows the unhealthy consequences of this practice. Luckily, the royal families have now allowed themselves to marry for love and not just for status.

The Muslim culture still practices inbreeding and has been doing so for longer than any Egyptian dynasty. This practice also predates the world’s oldest monarchy (the Danish) by 300 years.

A rough estimate shows that close to half of all Muslims in the world are inbred: In Pakistan, 70 percent of all marriages are between first cousins (so-called “consanguinity”) and in Turkey the amount is between 25-30 percent (Jyllands-Posten, 27/2 2009 More stillbirths among immigrants“

Statistical research on Arabic countries shows that up to 34 percent of all marriages in Algiers are consanguine (blood related), 46 percent in Bahrain, 33 percent in Egypt, 80 percent in Nubia (southern area in Egypt), 60 percent in Iraq, 64 percent in Jordan, 64 percent in Kuwait, 42 percent in Lebanon, 48 percent in Libya, 47 percent in Mauritania, 54 percent in Qatar, 67 percent in Saudi Arabia, 63 percent in Sudan, 40 percent in Syria, 39 percent in Tunisia, 54 percent in the United Arabic Emirates and 45 percent in Yemen (Reproductive Health Journal, 2009 Consanguinity and reproductive health among Arabs.).

A large part of inbred Muslims are born from parents who are themselves inbred – which increase the risks of negative mental and physical consequenses greatly.

The amount of blood related marriages is lower among Muslim immigrants living in the West. Among Pakistanis living in Denmark the amount is down to 40 percent and 15 percent among Turkish immigrants (Jyllands-Posten, 27/2 2009 More stillbirths among immigrants“.).

More than half of Pakistani immigrants living in Britain are intermarried:

The research, conducted by the BBC and broadcast to a shocked nation on Tuesday, found that at least 55% of the community was married to a first cousin. The lower percentages might be because it is difficult to get the chosen family member to the country, or because health education is better in the West.

Low intelligence

Several studies show that children of consanguineous marriages have lower intelligence than children of non-related parents. Research shows that the IQ is 10-16 points lower in children born from related parents and that abilities related to social behavior develops slower in inbred babies:

“Effects of parental consanguinity on the cognitive and social behavior of children have been studied among the Ansari Muslims of Bhalgapur, Bihar.

IQ in inbred children (8-12 years old) is found to be lower (69 in rural and 79 in suburban populations) than that of the outbred ones (79 and 95 respectively). The onset of various social profiles like visual fixation, social smile, sound seizures, oral expression and hand-grasping are significantly delayed among the new-born inbred babies.” (Indian National Science Academy, 1983 Consanguinity Effects on Intelligence Quotient and Neonatal Behaviours of nsari Muslim Children“).

The article “Effects of inbreeding on Raven Matrices” concludes that “Indian Muslim school boys, ages 13 to 15 years, whose parents are first cousins, were compared with classmates whose parents are genetically unrelated on the Raven Standard Progressive Matrices, a nonverbal test of intelligence. The inbred group scored significantly lower and had significantly greater variance than the non-inbred group, both on raw scores and on scores statistically adjusted to control for age and socioeconomic status.” (Behaviour Genetics, 1984).

Another study shows that the risk of having an IQ lower than 70 goes up 400 percent from 1.2 percent in children from normal parents to 6.2 percent in inbred children: “The data indicate that the risk for mental retardation in matings of normal parents increases from 0.012 with random matings to 0.062 for first-cousin parentage.” (Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, 1978 Effect of inbreeding on IQ and mental retardation“). The study A study of possible deleterious effects of consanguinity concludes, that “The occurrence of malignancies, congenital abnormalities, mental retardation and physical handicap was significantly higher in offspring of consanguineous than non-consanguineous marriages.”

mplications for the Western and the Muslim World

The consequences for offspring of consanguineous marriages are unpleasantly clear: Death, low intelligence or even mental retardation, handicaps and diseases often leading to a slow and painful death. Other consequences are:

Limited social skills and understanding, limited ability to manage education and work procedures and painful treatment procedures. The negative cognitive consequences also influence the executive functions. The impairment of concentration and emotional control most often leads to anti-social behavior.

The economic costs and consequences for society of inbreeding are of course secondary to the reality of human suffering.

However, inbreeding among Muslims has severe implications for both the Western societies and the Muslim world.
