http://www.allenbwest.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/trump-stern-thumbsup-1000x640.jpg Getty Images During the campaign, Donald Trump promised he wouldn’t take a dollar of salary if he were elected. Once he won, he showed no signs of backing down from that promise as he prepared to transition into office. There was just one problem…. By law, the president of the United States is obligated to take a salary. Moreover, that salary can’t be changed while he is in office.
Of course, it wasn’t just that he wanted to keep his promise. As one of the most successful businessmen in the world, Trump doesn’t have any need for the money. In his eyes, it’s just a waste of taxpayers’ hard-earned money. With that in mind, he chose instead to donate the money to charity.
After announcing his new plan, the administration asked for the media to help identify a worthy cause for the money. Just a few weeks later, it was revealed where his first quarter salary will go.

From The Hill (http://thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/327036-trump-donates-first-quarter-salary-to-national-park-service):
President Trump will donate his first three months of salary to the National Park Service, White House press secretary Sean Spicer announced Monday.
“The president has spoken with counsel and made the decision to donate his first-quarter salary to a government entity,” Spicer said at Monday’s briefing.
Spicer handed a check for $78,333.32 for the National Park Service to Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke. Spicer said the paycheck starts from Jan. 20, when Trump took office, until now.
It will be hard for liberals to argue with the move, as the National Park Service works to protect America’s vast natural resources. In addition to that, they also maintain many of America’s historical sites, something important to the president:
At Monday’s briefing, Zinke said the donation will go to the maintaining historic battlefield sites.
Although the plan was originally to wait until the end of the year, breaking up the donations by quarter will allow different causes to get in on the money. With this move, the administration can still solicit feedback on where future donations should go.
The donation is just another promise kept by a president that shows no signs of backing down from his campaign rhetoric. This time, the move is all but impossible for liberals to cry about, but they’ll probably find a way.

yeah, the whole $70k presidential quarterly salary is completely absurd. A long, long time ago when politicians weren't completely bought and paid for, that actually would be a salary for them to live on and save. Now it's a joke.

In partial respects, I can see why. The media has flat out lied in a lot of instances putting him and his family in danger of a cultural marxists stooge. I think that is on purpose. If Trump hadn't won the election the secret service protection would of vanished and he'd still be responsible for his own personal protection.
He is FAR from a saint or a savior, but at the same time I have to call bullshit when the media was an active participant in calling for his assassination. While not overtly, definitely covertly.

I have no theoretical problem with the protection of the President and his family at public expense...at the White House, or while on official business. I bitched about the Nigger's endless trips at public expense, and I will do the same for Trump's, plus his choice to have a second "White House" in New York.

So set up your own worthy causes or get yourself in as treasurer of one and put it forward...or maybe be magnanimous and make an unbiased worthy and noble suggestion.

I'm starting to agree. It seems to me that tax free foundations and philanthropy is a great evil on the world. I see the vast majority of it being leftist and marxist groups pushing agendas, satanists running eugenics programs, and billion dollar industries suppressing science under the guise of promoting science. And then you have the issue of "big donors" pushing for certain things to happen in exchange for their donations, even in legitimate charities. Its a shitshow. I almost just want to get rid of the whole damn concept entirely.

yes foundations get to donate 5% to those "charities" and the rest is tax free. Plus they can big note themselves as do good-ers. Since when is it a charity, if it doesn't help anyone or do any public service? Spreading subversion and Critical theory are not philanthropy. There should in the least be a watchdog to ensure they are doing charity... although as we know watchdogs are usually subverted as well.

Hey stoooopid!
Never claimed I was "exempt". You're only "exempt" by statute which I highly doubt you understand.
For example, certain occupations are exempt from SS which also happen to be exempt from the requirement of withholding and deductions for federal tax purposes because they dont constitute as 26usc 3401(a) "wages".
https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/26/3121
(b) EmploymentFor purposes of this chapter, the term “employment” means any service, of whatever nature, performed (A) by an employee for the person employing him, irrespective of the citizenship or residence of either, (i) within the United States, or (ii) on or in connection with an American vessel or American aircraft under a contract of service which is entered into within the United States or during the performance of which and while the employee is employed on the vessel or aircraft it touches at a port in the United States, if the employee is employed on and in connection with such vessel or aircraft when outside the United States, or (B) outside the United States by a citizen or resident of the United States as an employee for an American employer (as defined in subsection (h)), or (C) if it is service, regardless of where or by whom performed, which is designated as employment or recognized as equivalent to employment under an agreement entered into under section 233 of the Social Security Act; except that such term shall not include—
(1) service performed by foreign agricultural workers lawfully admitted to the United States from the Bahamas, Jamaica, and the other British West Indies, or from any other foreign country or possession thereof, on a temporary basis to perform agricultural labor;
(2) domestic service performed in a local college club, or local chapter of a college fraternity or sorority, by a student who is enrolled and is regularly attending classes at a school, college, or university;
See moron.....college "domestic service" is exempt from the definition to Social Security's "employment" for crediting on a quarterly basis into the SS account.
Well looky here....that same active and enrolled college student is also "exempt" from having deductions and withholdings (no W4 requirement) because said "service" doesnt qualify as 26usc 3401(a) "wages" for the 26usc 3402 requirement to deduct and withhold.
https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/26/3401
(a) Wages
For purposes of this chapter, the term “wages” means all remuneration (other than fees paid to a public official) for services performed by an employee for his employer, including the cash value of all remuneration (including benefits) paid in any medium other than cash; except that such term shall not include remuneration paid— (1) for active service performed in a month for which such employee is entitled to the benefits of section 112 (relating to certain combat zone compensation of members of the Armed Forces of the United States) to the extent remuneration for such service is excludable from gross income under such section; or
(2) for agricultural labor (as defined in section 3121(g)) unless the remuneration paid for such labor is wages (as defined in section 3121(a)); or
(3) for domestic service in a private home, local college club, or local chapter of a college fraternity or sorority; or
And my all time favorite...take a look at (2)
Agricultural labor as defined (3121g) is exempt from deductions and withholding (again no W4 requirement what so ever) unless its treated as 26usc 3121(a) "wages" (the qualifying definition).
What that says is agricultural labor that is defined in paragraph (g) is exempt from qualifying as 3401(a) "wages" unless 3121(g) labor is treated as the same labor that constitutes as Social Security 3121(a) "wages".
Now imagine if you didnt participate in SS altogether where none of your earnings qualify as 3121(a) "wages".
Get it now asshole?
LMAO...and you think I'm a fool.
Did you think for one minute I believed your lie about your friend being an enrolled IRS agent who has a friend thats a CID agent.....LMFAO!
You think I'm scared!
Bahahahahaha.....nope not scared!
Pfft.....that imaginary friend of yours thats an enrolled agent is nothing more than an imaginary glorified bean counter accountant.....that has no experience in taxes except to look over your 1040 and put a rubber stamp on it to get filed. They know nothing about legalities of Ss participation or an individuals Constitutional rights.
I'll walk over any CID agent because hes not going to find anything illegal. Per the laws, regulations and court cases and cites nobody is required to have a SSN or use it if you do. Nobody is required under any law to participate in SS. In fact, its illegal to force anyone to participate in anything voluntary that imposed taxes. Thats why you have to sign the W4 in order for the government to impose taxes on your fruits of your labor.
You cant evade something that you are not volunteering into......only idiots think that way.
Besides I know what your doing. Your imaginary friends are just a dishonest ploy to get more information out of me.
