The thing is though that one at the front is not in the same position as the blotch on other images. If you drew a line from that kit straight up towards all those soldiers to the very next yellow line, that would be about where the redacted bit was.

it doesn't mean they weren't, but your question is valid. To keep up the narrative there should be a fix there. Either the guys lying or everyone was killed with a long gun. The ME does qualify what he says by saying "all the ones I have seen". So at that time either he hadn't finished looking at everyone or he wasn't going to look at all of them and delegated some to another ME. It's likely there'd be more than on examiner. I'd like to know how many he looked at.

Why anyone would lay anything down in that area (other than to protect evidence from elements) is beyond me.
Right, see what you mean, as it appears larger in the other photos.. why that one soldier is crossing over the area is also strange.
