MR. my bottom line is that one doesnt free oneself through someone else, but by taking the matter in one own hands. That is the metaphysical origin of power and freedom alike.
That is where I see the major problem with the bible. People keep hoping but have been deceived century after century. From bad to worse.
Jesus, metaphorically or not, died to show the cost of liberty, to continually stand ready to lose everything... then we have the salvation concept which has been now proven to be part of the problem. People are literally waiting for the 2nd coming while whispering "I told you so". There is a duality or polarity between the 2 conclusions and of course they are antagonistic. One is correct, one is false. Both exist to show that choice/free will is embedded.
