Belgium has been a Jewish occupied country for millennia.
Here is a little history...
History of the Jews in Belgium
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

“Judaism has a long history in Belgium, from the 1st century CE until today. The Jewish community numbered 66,000 on the eve of the Second World War[3] but, after the war and the Holocaust, is now less than half that number.”
“In the 16th century, many Sephardic Jews who had been expelled from Spain settled in Belgium and the Netherlands. In addition, many Marranos (crypto-Jews who outwardly professed Christianity) settled in Antwerp at the end of the 15th century.”
“Sephardi Jews, also known as Sephardic Jews or simply Sephardim (Hebrew: סְפָרַדִּים, Modern Hebrew: Sfaraddim, Tiberian: Səp̄āraddîm; also יְהוּדֵי סְפָרַד Y'hudey Spharad, lit. "The Jews of Spain"), are a Jewish ethnic division whose ethnogenesis and emergence as a distinct community of Jews coalesced in the Iberian Peninsula around the start of the 2nd millennium (i.e., about the year 1000). They established communities throughout Spain and Portugal, where they traditionally resided, evolving what would become their distinctive characteristics and diasporic identity. T”

Marranos and Conversos are two terms that basically mean the same thing and are fully synonymous --
Sephardic Jews who converted to Catholicism during the time of the Inquisition. I do not know what percentage of those who converted were actually true believers in Christ but from what I have read, virtually all of them were “crypto-Jews who outwardly professed Christianity.”
Yes, Spain and Portugal were Catholic countries and those countries basically kicked out the Jews for the same reasons that over a hundred countries over the millennia have kicked them out for from their countries. The problem is moral decay of the culture and a subversive takeover and control of money and property and buying and controlling the monarchs and leaders of each country.
The following video presents a side of the Inquisition that differs starkly from the story portrayed by Protestant Christianity or Wikipedia and the mainstream media, and even it leaves out the reasons I just informed you of.
Catholic Inquisition Myths Busted [11 min. video]
This video refutes common myths about the Catholic Inquisition and the Spanish Inquisition. How many people were killed? Were millions killed? How about hundreds of thousands, or tens of thousands? Hear the facts which destroy the lies. Ignorance of this issue has given rise to shocking claims with no basis in reality. You will be very surprised to hear the truth. Documentation from a secular and unbiased historian destroys common misconceptions about the Inquisition, including falsehoods about how many people were killed. The video corrects the lies that have been spread against the Catholic Church, explains what the Inquisition was, and the rationale behind it.
