I faxed this letter to Sheriff David Ward two days before they murdered LaVoy Finicum. The coward could have prevented this.

Dear Sheriff Ward:


You have a situation in your county that is due to the inaction of one man, and one man only. That man is you. Even though you were appointed the office you hold is an elected office by the people of Harney County. Your first responsibility is to the people, not to the committee that appointed you, nor the governor nor least of all the Federal Government.
I am an old man coming from a Nevada farming/ranching family. I have seen and experienced lot in my lifetime. What you are about to experience can be avoided if you choose to act. The results will be something you will live with the rest of your life.


You can be a man, assume the responsibility of your office, order the Federal government out of your county and avoid any bloodshed. Let due process be served.


There is much corruption in your local government just as there is in my local government in Nye County, Nevada. Federal grant money breeds strange bedfellows.


If you want to live the rest of your life knowing you could have prevented the situation that is about to occur continue to hide under your desk. If not grow some balls and take action. Let your conscience be your guide. You will be a national hero if you do the right thing. If not they will throw you under the bus when they no longer need you.

Good for job Monty. That letter was straight talk and the truth. The gutless bastard didn't listen though and now he has Lavoy's blood on his hands. He should resign and let someone else take the job that will uphold the constitutional rights of the people in that county.

In the video I posted in post 829 above Chris Briles said he has started a petition to have judge Grasty recalled. I think the same should be done with Sheriff Ward. Chris Briles should be the Sheriff in that county.
